Love that scene at the store with the shoes but I hate that Store Clerk. HE was so rude to that sweet boy and then he seems to patiently stand there forever while Robert talks to the boy to ask whats wrong and then he asks him if he is ready to cash out. He wasnt rude to him like he was the boy and also didnt seem to rush him because of the line.

This movie is very sad, I can relate to it a lot though because last Christmas morning my mom had a heart attack and died but the paramedics brought her back. She is doing just fine now, but that experience taught me that you can never take your parents for granted. This movie made me cry like a baby the first time I watched it. I did a cover of the song as a Christmas present for my Mom, listen to it if you want to, but I'm not great. Merry Christmas, Everyone! (:

i first saw this last year with my mom. I've never sobbed THAT hard on a movie. I've cried silently, but this scene from "it'll be too late by then" and on I bawled. I understand the cashier can't just give him the shoes, he would get in trouble and then everyone would want a discount on their stuff. But it was totally uncalled for to be such a jerk about it. Especially to a little kid. If I was him i'd feel about two inches tall when he started crying. he didnt even flinch.
