Just a curious question to all sufi and sindhi brothers. This is my understanding. Sufism is a denomination of Islam and sindhi is a language spoken by people, predominantly found in Sindh region of Pakistan. So do Hindu,Zorastrian sindhi people rever Jhoole lal and mast qalandar? And if you are Muslim sindhi, are you a sufi? Just trying to understand the relation between Sufism, Sindhi. Thank you
Ref. @gnmithun question, Sufis are everywhere, but as much as I understand Islam entered Hindustan through Sindh via Sufis. Lack of literacy and literature available in old times, Sufis were a living Book to read and they tought how life could practically be lived in true Islamic way. And yes impacts of great sufis of Sindh are still alive in lives of we Sindhi people, many of us don't die for money and fame, but die to see peace everywhere. Thanks for your interest in sufism.
sai subhan allah this is truly sufi kalam from sai rakhiyal shah badsha in my point of view these words are only for in the ALLAH PAK ISHIQ means sai find the path of allmighty and saw the world that in secert called ghibul ghib
Intzar.. Great Kalam... I remember that day when you were uploading these sufi songs. Now when Iam in UK, realizing how great work you've done.. Hats-off...
1. No peace my soul have, In such how do I stand for prayer, My inner is full of ill wishes, yet I appear to be a believer, "Am I not your Lord", the souls there were asked for, If Rakhyal (the poet) could know the secret behind "Yes, indeed"(replied by souls), he surely would have surrender his life. 2. Niethar honored, nor great I am, Destiny brought me into this jail (this world), I am weak in my deeds, I accept what peoples expostulate about me.
5. Dog barks all night at its master's gate, You left your master's gate, you even can't sacrifice your sleep, Seeing your ego, you couldn't recognize the One and Only (Allah), Believe it, your life is full of cruelties, "Sir Shah Rakhyal !"(the poet), surely you will remain cursing your ego one day. 6. Better than me is the fire-place (hearth), Which from ash is driven out, Neithar washman, nor like a pipkin I am, In which foods are kept ready.
(Poet want to say that dog, fire-place, pots, pipkin etc. do their jobs sincerely, they are better than me. I am not good in my deeds due to my Ego though I am trying)
@kalwar4utube mate you're a legend for translating this poetry. As a person who has asian ancestry but has never really experienced asia, this has been a God-send. Jzk khair.
MashALLAH very impressive work you are doing! It is not easy to translate poetry from Sindhi to English but you are doing wonderful job! Kudos and keep it up!

Strange peoples believe its a lie!!
For you my beloved, I bear their bitting words,
Loose yourself to reach your goal,
this my love has taught me of.
4.
With orders written in my destiny,
I fall in love with You,
I'll cry all days even nights,
Only You I am seeking to.
