People that don't understand the cattle industry should judge the people that do. Branding is the only economically permanent form of identification. Most of the bellering is from fear not pain. If you owned cattle and that was your lively hood and other people were stealing them it is like stealing money or taking food from your children. You need to look at all angles before you judge.
@farmerman270 Agreed. I don't think it is that bad. But from the other side it is also done cruely and I believe that this is what the people that put this video up were trying to convey. However, I have been to ranches and this is not bad at all. The cow is scared. Truely, not one of the WORST videos I have seen.
South Africa is ,was a great country and place to live. Unfortunately when you allow these barbaric, unfeeling and crooked people to run the country this is waht you get. They want to be accepted by the rest of the world, well they should learn to act like human beings.
OMG, the poor animal. I think it is great that videos like this are shown on here. People should know what is happening out there. Hopefully then will they realise that the world is in their hands and take action to stop cruelty like this.
@balto4 it IS awful! i don't think most of us humans know that animals CAN feel pain, let alone show it! but sometimes the animals don't show it or just can't.. i don't think this is right, i mean...how would you like having THAT done on your face? can we imagine what it would feel like? Imagine what the cow feels!
@twinbladestaff I agree I don't think people think about how animals feel. Like my dad and sister go fishing and yank hooks out of fish without thinking either
