I would say there is a problem with your mainspring that's not allowing your hammer to full cock, or it could be the Ambi-saftey itself. I would take it in to a gunsmith, or sell it and buy a quality 1911. You can get a "cheap" one from Springfield, Para, Charles Daily, and Remington. Also, quit slamming the slide on a dry chamber because you're going to eventually ruin your barrel bushing.
The thumb safety is made in two parts. They both slide together and is held in place by a small spring. The spring could have slipped off the notch or one side of the safety is too long and catching the safety as you lift up on it. I would get it checked by a gunsmith to make sure.
Hi Russoft -- . I'll echo tgannon's comment and recommend that you take your pistol to a gunsmith. There is a problem with the fitting of the safety with the trigger mechanism. It probably won't take much work to get it right. The safety should engage very positively when the hammer is cocked. Check out Armco in Prince George...they offer a Norinco tuning package that will fix your gun right up [my new 1911A1 is going there after I put a few hundred break-in rounds through it].
You have an issues with the safety not fitted correctly to your sear. Take it to a qualified gunsmith some of the metal need to be filed off. Do not do this yourself unless you know what you are doing because you can make your pistol UNSAFE!!!!
I froze the video at about 2:15, and I took a digital snapshot of the freeze framed image, and I viewed it under a "luminall" light, and surprisingly enough, I detected some "blood spatter" on the gun.
good vid keep surching...sure u will find somthing ...ummm try to change the title to 1911...and u might have more responses..good luck..im sure when u r all said and done ..u will know that firearm.well....and the case u have with that firarme hase to be lockable..for transportation..later

Yeah, I agree...send it to Gunnar at Armco. I just bought a 1911 A1C from him for around $560.

good job showing me there is no magazine in the gun but you never checked the actual chamber of the firearm.

shut up fool.

@roberto125919 You can tell just by the sound that the chamber is empty AND he checked it himself.

Maybe the hammer isn't back all the way. Buy a new hammer.
HiCapacity 2 years ago
I'm clueless. I think norinco fucked something up, they ARE cheap so... And no, you shouldnt have to hold the hammer back like that.
