  • lol @ full range of motion critics here. you all should read on doing dead hangs. it can put heavy strain on your shoulders. its actually recommended not to go down all the way.

  • Can you recommend a good weight belt? I jus started doing weighted chins and the belt I have kind of has a shorter chain. It doesn't seem like it can really fit too much weight on it. :-/

  • holy s**t its the new HULK !

  • I would restart from the beginning and only do full reps if I were you.

  • what a beast!

  • Awesome Video!!!

Check my page i just made a Pull UP Video!!!

  • i agree with other poster, try going lower to the hang position for a second. also get your chin above the bar. use the full range of your muscles. good luck

  • Strong, but poor form. a) Not using full ROM, and b) legs are all over the shop. The higher the weight, the worse it got.

  • @sbowesuk What are you a lifting specialist? STFU...You can't do this + you don't really do full ROM when doing 1-3 reps of pull ups...plz do your body weight X2 and see yourself kick if you can even do one bitch

  • you with 65 pounds on is my body weight. Your pretty strong for your weight though.

  • you need to clear the bar for a pullup to count... last one definitely wasnt high or low enough

  • What are the main workouts I should be focusing in the gym for pk/fr? ex. pullups, incline bench, etc.

  • I've just started training like this but I've got a 20lb dumbbell...obvs I have a long way to go lol.

But I was wondering, has this kind of training helped you actually go "over" the bar? like I want to get strong enough to do muscle ups as well and despite being able to do 20 pullups in one set, I still can't get over that bar to a muscle up =(

  • nice job were u on ninja warrior yet because i love that show and wanted to watch u on it

  • your chin isnt going over the bar, is it supposed to?

  • @tr33smoker yes it should. Its clear the last couple weight loads are never done as full pull ups.

  • @tr33smoker Yes it is. His technique is somewhat flawed.

  • this guys obviously been in jail

  • until i saw the belt, i thought he was holding them with his legs, and i hought like, wtf??!!

  • this gets 7k views? that was like how i would fair after drinking 14 shots the night before, and i weigh148, if video proof is needed it will come

  • try locking out at the bottom and actually go up higher at the top and then see how much weight you can do. You're not even doing complete reps + using momentum to pull yourself back up

  • Just to point out, the Japanese at the beginning is unnatural.

  • very impressive. Ever think about training for a one arm chin? That's what I'm doing right now, though I'm pretty far off. I can get 1 rep at +100 lb at 180 lb BW.

  • very fucking impressive/amazing/ur the man :P

  • dude nice work!!!

  • Im 16 years old, and i can manage 60 punds/30 kilos 5 times.. But thats nothing compared to you

with no weight i can do 24..... when i exercise, i only focus on my muscles that helps me to performe more pull ups

ur great man. Keep up the good work

  • Next time try the 155 pounds added weight, before doing pull ups whit less weight. Im sure u can get 3 reps cuz u are strong. Dont listen to haters who cant even do one whit 155 pounds. Im sure they jealous becuz u are lighter and you pull more weight

  • (this is just a question and not a criticism) whats the purpose of this? this bodybuilding? i never knew but can these supernatural bodybuilders punch? or kick? fight? please reply. i wanna see how i would face up to a bodybuilder who thinks hes the sht because hes strong. i wanna whoop his ass but have a competition when i do.

  • MJSbossman, looks like you're jealous you cant do this

  • Not jealous of anyone. I'm just trying to help the guy who's using more weight than he can handle.

  • you really need to go lower on all your reps

  • @celtics2022 He needs to go a little lower but not to a deadhang though as this is the easiest way to dislocate something at a heavy weight. I go to a deadhang though because all my muscles and joints are stronger after years of training.

  • wow this is good, it waslike a half rep woth double bodyweight, but im sure if you switched grips for a chinup grip you would ahve got a double bodywight chinup easily. How long have oy ubeeen working weighted pullups? and antoher important question is, when yo uwork your weighted pulls, where do you do youre normal bodyweight pullups, on the same day or seperate day jsut for pullups?

  • Just because he can do a pull up with that much weight doesn't mean he can do a chin up with that much weight... different muscles bro

  • yeh but chances are he is stronger in the chinup grip, since the pull up grip is harder for most people... but since he practices mostly lcimbing walls and stuff i doubt he would work supinated chinup grip too often....

  • no, chin-ups are usually easier but when you start training with weight on pull-ups it doesn't transfer over to chin ups equally.

  • That is true, but he will still be able to add some weight to a chin-up.

  • how is your training going?

  • thats a cool outfit man!!!

are those the pants you are going to wear at Ninja Warrior?

  • I haven't decided yet. Probably, though.

  • completely awesome man keep up the good work

  • he looks a little like shawn michaels

  • To be honest, at 290lb you only did one real rep, but I guess that isnt important. Do you know what the record weightedpullup is?

  • great job !

is the only way to increase weight on weighted pull ups doing more weighted pull ups ? lol

  • I'd have to say it's by far the BEST way. But any weight / resistance training for your Biceps and Back muscles will ultimately help you lift more with weighted pull-ups. That means bicep curls, lat pull-downs, back rows, etc.

  • oh n training biceps on the same day as back a good idea ?

  • Yes, it's a very good idea. The bicep and the back muscles work hand in hand, just as the tricep and chest muscles also work together. Here's a very basic concept that might help you remember: Anytime you are doing PULLING exercises (a "pulling" motion with the arms--pulling down, pulling up, etc.), you're working your biceps and back. Anytime you are doing PUSHING exercises (a "pushing" motion with the arms--pushing forward, pushing up, etc.), you're working your triceps and chest.

  • oh aiites. i knew that just thot that if i trained back n biceps that the muscle that i trained second would be already tired n not produce and effective workout.

oh n btw ive kinda hit a plateau on weighted pull ups at like bw 155-156 w\ 45 lb for bout 5 reps

    thankx bro.

  • good shit man...i hope you've also been working on increasing in reps with your original body weight as well...ninja warrior is some vigorous shit...especially the new course...good luck...

  • holy shit! What are, like 5'4"? doing a 300+ pound pull up?!

  • 5'8" .... actually.

  • Congratulations Mr.Hilton I hope to see more of you, Sasuke 22 is waiting. -Bryan legge-

  • Wow. You are strong as hell.

  • Boy, you are good on the strength front! Look at you!

How is your endurance? Do you have good balance? It would be a fucking disaster to get to Sasuke and then mess up on like... the log drop or something.

  • Kind of like Mark Whitmar did in Sasuke 21....

Anyways.... No, I have excellent endurance and balance. I intend on not just beating Stage 1 and 2 with my agility, but going all the way through Stages 3 and 4 with my strength, as well.

Personally, I think most competitors focus ENTIRELY on the agility and balance aspects of Stages 1 and 2, and then when they get to Stage 3 and have to rely wholly on their strength, they realize that they don't any to rely on. That won't happen with me.

  • I'm glad to hear it

I really do think that if you can get past stage 1, you'll go all the way.

  • Daaaaaaaaaamn!

  • Man!... now i feel like a wussy girl.... haha Good luck. :)

  • Thanks. And don't worry TOO much about the wussy girl thing. I still think highly of ya. Take care.

  • That was a great workout, good luck in your future goals

  • You are awesome.

  • all the best for you~

  • respect.

  • That just scares me.

  • pfft and i thought i was good using a 25 lb weight vest
