What always bothered me about this case is that if it's true that Dan White's motive was to kill Milk and the Mayor over his job, then in his mind he thought that the job he lost was his only option. Obviously that was not the case. People think that no other options are out there. White would have found another job.

When he didn't get his job back he killed the two people who stood in his way -- the people who did not support his anti-gay politics.
