I recently saw this guy in concert and was so disappointed! I LOVE this guy and LOVE his music! I was looking soooo forward to seeing him perform live...BIG MISTAKE! Maybe they were just having a bad night...but OMG they were terrible! The band was terrible, Ronnie's vocals were all over the place,...sharp, flat...I was so saddened by the performance. John Anderson opened for him and BLEW HIM AWAY. Don't get me wrong, I love Milsap. His live show was nothing like the one in this video!!

I just this incredible man in Vegas Saturday night. Simply the best concert I have ever been to. He didn't feel well but sang with his band for over an hour straight. When he left the stage no one left. We clapped for 1/2 hour for an encore. I found his back was killing him when I talked to his bass player. What a class act.

Camizowner, you had me laughing, I can just imagine Ronnie thinking "wow" what was that and his band was like, Man Ronnie, should've seen her, not bad at all and those boobs were awesome!

Had tickets to see him in Alma, AR on 9/6/08 & I had to have surgery :( . We gave our tickets to friends and they said he was terrific. They said he went into a old rock n' roll medley, and they loved it! I've loved his music since the early 70's. I'll be watching to see when he gets close enough to go see him in person!!!!

To correct a few people here, Milsap is not a songwriter and has not written any of his hit songs. What Ronnie lacks in songwriting ability, he more than makes up for with glorious pipes that few country or rock vocalists in America can compete with.

Country, rock n' roll, blues, R&B, pop ballads, doo wop, Bach and Beethoven....there is literally no genre of music this man can't sing.

The most versatile and underappreciated singer/pianist in American music today is RONNIE LEE MILSAP...

I never realized he never wrote his own music, but I guess youre right now that I look at the credits. For some singers though it works out better having songwriters. In fact, most country singers dont write their own stuff. I think that allows it to stay fresh

'It was almost like a song is a classic' - I found it on the Bridges of Madison County soundtrack (Johnny Hartman version), and then only recently discovered who Ronnie was and the wrote the original version. And here was me thinking it was a Hartman song. I wish I write a song that makes me feel as good as that does one day. And now I find out he was born blind. Damn this world is a tough one.

Well, the best country musicians mix some humor into their performances. When Mel Tillis told Minnie Pearl that he was frustrated with audiences laughing at him, she told him, "Laughs are hard enough to get in this business, Mel. " (I don't recall the rest of what she said to Tillis, but have you noticed that onstage he makes himself the butt of a lot of his humor?)
