@jeremybrown1942 how fresh is the top end? Also it might be gear choice. When i rip it wen the rpms are low it takes a couple secs for the power to come. Thats in 2nd and up though. Also is there a flywheel weight on it? That could be why the power is slow to deliver. I got top end redone and wiesco piston and rings and my bike runs fine. I also got bills pipe and silencer, renthal handlebars and sprokets, asv levers and more。

@EnvyBMX i doubt it, how much riding have you done before? you would seriously struggle to keep the front wheel on the ground in the lower gears (1-3). When you come to a stop you will need a rock to put your foot on.

I am 5 ft 6 inch (170cm) and 122 lb (54 kg) and in second the front wheel wants to come up... My feet touch touch ground ( just enough)

@FMXPRO199 Well considering i'm not a 2 stroke purist I would have to go with the 250 4 stroke, because they have better acceleration because they get much better traction, and they can go faster. Although they are about 10 pounds heavier. It really is personal preference, for 2 stroke I would recommend a 2007 cr125 and for a 4 stroke I would recommend the Kx250f or the Sx250f.

Yep 2 stroke RIPPING out of the corners on the acceleration... Exactly what you want in Motocross and ESPECIALLY SUPERCROSS!!! Honestly i never ridden a 2 stroke (lookin for a yz 125) i have a ttr 125 L now but 2 strokes are more for freestyle and sometimes racing but here in florida they dont work too good in sugar sand, and thats where 4 strokes come in. I like them personally because its my first bike and second it will always start up after u dump it or stall. Theres no changing plugs and shit.
