Ah! Sweet Jonathan, so lovely to hear you singing again and especially this song - I loved it so much and loved hearing you singing it live! You were and still are a very special person and an inspiration. Bless you Jonathanx
Fantastic to hear him again, got his orignal album still at home, and saw him at the Shaw Theatre I think in 1979 with the Strawbs, an amazing act and Madaline is my all time favourite Thanks Jonathan be blessed and continue on the folk circuit wonderful
...of his musical magnitude that should read of course.
PS he is playing Middlewithc in June if anyone is interested. i will travel from Holland to see him and one thing I am sure about is that the time and troube will be well worth it. After thirty years of him being 'absent without leave' this is a gig that no one who claims to know something about music sould avoid.
Been a fan forever - so glad to see and hear him still around today! I taped my friends LP back in the 70's and played the tape 'till it fell apart. Then power of internet and on-line shopping was able to buy the CD some years back. Anyone got a video of him playing Sligo Fair? That's my favourite song!
Can't believe I found a video of JK - could not agree more with last comment, huge singer-songwriter, very talented, and it was a huge tragedy he never made it big, his work is up there with John Martyn, Steely Dan - Saw him in UCD, many other gigs and 100 club Oxford st. big band days behing him - so good to see him, hear him, and to see he is the same lovely guy. What a find on You Tube and thanks for putting it up - will tell all my friends
This guy is one of the most criminally nelgected singer- songwriters in the history of popular music. Thankfully, thanks to U Tube he is finally being recognised for his musical genius which is perhaps why Eric Clapton, Snowy White, Chas Jankler and Gary Moore have played with him before. Too little too late for a man if his magnitude I fear.
I like this too. BUY the original album.
