ok I hate mac but I know some people like macs.. anyway about your grandpas pc. worst thing you possibly do is get advice from geek squad. I went in there one time cause my ipod touch was fucked up I would click on the app and about 5 seconds later it would go back to the home screen. I told geek squad, what they said was "you downloaded the app wrong" THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO DOWNLOAD A APP! Anyway I hate geeksquad they are stupid I would never go to them for anything!

@aditrap I love PCs too because I can wipe the OS and put Linux on it. Then I have a fast, secure computer with no worries about viruses ever. Every future update of the OS is free; all the apps are free (and generally better than the Microsoft equivalents) and THEIR updates are free too.

if you buy a pc for 600$ and a desk for 100$, you have all the things you need.. there are free virusscanners that work properly (AVG, Avast)... so PCs are cheaper than Macs..
I couldnt care less about PC vs Mac but he should have just purchased a $400-$600 PC with monitor and left it with that if that's what he wanted. PCs you plug in, turn on and use.. Customer support from Apple in Norway (or any other smal european country) is a joke. It's in the law that you will get support and repairs if there is something wrong with your device (that is not caused by you) Apple doesn't care, and gives one or two years of that

Ty, your only experience with a PC was a super old Dell and editing videos with windows movie maker! Your ignorance hurts my brain! For the same price as a mac mini I got a powerful gaming pc. Now if I had to choose between a Mac with a dual core I5, 4gb of memory and integrated graphics, or a Pc with an 8 core processor, 8gb of memory and a gtx 550 for the same price, then I think I would choose the pc!

I hate inexperienced people when it comes to computers. When i broke my first mac i went to go get a new one but the apple store and everything where i live is pretty far so i had to go to cons and they tried to cheat me out so badly with a pc and all this extra crap which i already knew how to do. I ended up buying a new iMac, of course, but i also ended up teaching some of the people that worked there about pc.
Mac is awesome, but the hardware is crap, u get much more for ur money if you pay the parts urself! so the best way is the buy a PC and put hackintosh on it.. But its not quite stress-free, unfourtunately.. :(

@fabyl2003 I had PCs all my life and never thought about spending more money on a computer. But this summer I got a Mac and I will never ever buy a PC again. It's not all about which is "better" but I spend so many hours a day on my computer and the smoothness of the Mac is incredible. I loved it so much that I bought another Mac a few months later. I'm not saying they are better than PC's but since I have the money I gladly spend it to get a smoother and problem free laptop. Have you owned one?

If you watch the video he states that an imac takes up alot less space than a pc, as a pc doesn't contain the software within the screen like an imac. im not here to argue that mac is better than windows, im simply trying to point out that Ty said that a pc would take up alot more space than an imac.

The only reason why PC would have an advantage is its easier to replace parts for it such as video card. They run all the same games. I know alot more about tech than you can google. @fabyl2003 Trust me you would be surprised the ways people can get viruses. I got an email saying it was from my bank. They said a statement was incorrect on the account. It looked like any other email my bank had sent me. I opened it and long story short had to have my hard drive wiped.

Ty, your only experience with a PC was a super old Dell and editing videos with windows movie maker! Your ignorance hurts my brain! For the same price as a mac mini I got a powerful gaming pc. Now if I had to choose between a Mac with a dual core I5, 4gb of memory and integrated graphics, or a Pc with an 8 core processor, 8gb of memory and a gtx 550 for the same price, then I think I would choose the pc!

I hate inexperienced people when it comes to computers. When i broke my first mac i went to go get a new one but the apple store and everything where i live is pretty far so i had to go to cons and they tried to cheat me out so badly with a pc and all this extra crap which i already knew how to do. I ended up buying a new iMac, of course, but i also ended up teaching some of the people that worked there about pc.

@fabyl2003 I had PCs all my life and never thought about spending more money on a computer. But this summer I got a Mac and I will never ever buy a PC again. It's not all about which is "better" but I spend so many hours a day on my computer and the smoothness of the Mac is incredible. I loved it so much that I bought another Mac a few months later. I'm not saying they are better than PC's but since I have the money I gladly spend it to get a smoother and problem free laptop. Have you owned one?
