@PatriotInChief I find it hard to understand how you can defend a candidate who was such a douchebag that he was unable to defeat the most retarded president in american history.
Cracks me up every time I hear that line, "I'm John Kerry and I'm reporting for duty". I can't even imagine that guy as leader of a Boy Scouts troop, let alone commander and chief of our armed forces.
This is one of the best nomination acceptance speeches EVER. The crowd was electrified. The message was crisp and very emotional. The only other speech that topped his was Obama's primary victory speech in Minesota.
Its sorta good that he lost. We wouldn't have had the majorities to pass through ANYTHING in four years, and he would have been blamed for Iraq, and he would have lost in 2008 to some "fresh faced" Republican anyway.
PRO-COMMUNIST SENATOR "HANOI" JOHN KERRY SUPPORTS BRUTAL COMMUNIST VIETNAM BY KILLING VIETNAM HUMAN RIGHTS ACT IN THE SENATE.
He values dirty money and economic ties with communist Vietnam much more important than democracy and human rights values. Consequently, Vietnam has waged a new crackdown on democracy activists like Father Nguyen van Ly and lawyers Nguyen van Dai and Le thi Cong Nhan, who were given unfair, harsh sentences of several years in prison for their democracy activities.

That "reporting for duty" opening is awful but he delivers the rest of the speech effectively. I don't agree with what he's saying but he is a good speaker.
But what is crucial, my fellow Democrats, is that we must take on these extremely important issues, such as health care, the economy, transportation, foreign policy, national security and so on. These issues affect the daily life of every man, woman and child and the things that need to be done to make our great nation better.
I am 30 years old and I have been a proud Democrat since I was 13. I believe that the Democratic party is the greatest political party, not just in the United States of America, but in all the universe. Our party has gone through some good times and through some bad times. We are not winners and we are not losers. We are only survivors. Our party will live forever!
This speech as a whole was good, but he needed to stop with the vietnam veteran thing. I get what he was going for (since Bush has no military experience or intelligence for that matter LOL), but he kept hamming on and on about being on a boat in the Mekong Delta.
I would rather have kerry right now than obama. Kerry may be a couple cards short of a full deck but Obama is dangerous with an evil agenda for this country

Kerry is nothing but Palin's DICKLESS and BALLESS BITCH and PUSSY! Palin PWNS Kerry and is MORE MAN than he is. She is also a greater politician and statesman than Kerry could ever be. John wears the skirt in the Kerry family while Teresa wears the Pants. Even his daughters are MORE MAN than he is. Palin would make an EVEN BETTER POTUS than Kerry could have been for Palin is GOD's CHOSEN ONE, GOD INCARNATE and the LIVING EMBODIMENT OF GOD HERSELF!
If he had won America wouldn't have had President Obama.
And he was clearly an awful candidate. The economy would still have imploded under him and the Republicans would be where the Democrats are right now. It would've spelled the end of the United States of America as we know them.
@barryorange. I thought Kerry would have been the better choice too back in 2004 but a lot of people still liked Bush at the time and people didn't really know Kerry, it's too bad Al Gore choose not to run or he would have been Bush's democratic rival again but it's hard to say if he would have beated Bush.

I was a delegate at this convention. I must say that I was disappointed with the entire convention outside of Barack Obama and the moving speeches from Max Cleland and Jim Rassmann, whose life Kerry saved in Vietnam. What irked me was Terry McAuliffe's decision to stifle any speeches that said anything negative about George Bush and Dick Cheney. Did they think that the Republicans would return the favor when their convention came around? Had Kerry won, McCain may be president right now. Uggg
I'll never regret supporting him during my first election in 2004. I actually convinced both of my parents (longtime Republicans) to support Kerry. Does that change the fact that John Kerry and the dems are LOSERS? Get ready for another loss in November, liberals still havent learned their lesson about running people who are unelectable.

winning the Cold War? If the Dumbocrats had their way..which was to seek accomodation with the the Evil Soviets.. make no mistake..the Soviets were evil, all the leaders since Lenin had publicly stated that their goal was world domination and the destruction of the US, its in the history books. Your leaders, Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, they all decried the tough stance Reagan took against the Soviets..
Reporting for duty? Voters...kicked him out of boot camp..what a liar...the E Germans & Russians would've never let a kid on a bike ride into E Berlin..they would've shot him with guns & evil in their hearts, then again the Dumbocrats can't see the evil that communists are..as the Dumbocrats are communists...
College does not provide tools for analytical thinking, but liberal indoctrination....do you really thing that the Soviets would have let some kid ride his bike into East Berlin? One needed documentation to prove where they were from to cross the border..read the history books..get off your liberal high horse and remember history...
i thought it was one of the best speeches i ever heard. I mean people often said he was a boring speaker, but i disagree. I always thought he spoke in the style of the classic greats.

winning the Cold War? If the Dumbocrats had their way..which was to seek accomodation with the the Evil Soviets.. make no mistake..the Soviets were evil, all the leaders since Lenin had publicly stated that their goal was world domination and the destruction of the US, its in the history books. Your leaders, Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, they all decried the tough stance Reagan took against the Soviets..

Your history books have so much errors in them it's laughable.

You need jesus, and then some college for analytical thinking
Aceitoson 3 years ago
College does not provide tools for analytical thinking, but liberal indoctrination....do you really thing that the Soviets would have let some kid ride his bike into East Berlin? One needed documentation to prove where they were from to cross the border..read the history books..get off your liberal high horse and remember history...

Inspirational...but not as good as Obama's Keynote Address (the best speech of the '04 Election)

i thought it was one of the best speeches i ever heard. I mean people often said he was a boring speaker, but i disagree. I always thought he spoke in the style of the classic greats.
