  • what a boring guy seriously you idiotic voters in America you could have won 2004 and you blew it by nominating this idiot...

  • @Shaftsus worry about your own country faggot

  • @johnnyb344344 haha

  • Where is his doody hat?

  • Kerry was ana amateur candidate.

  • this was a poor speech, he's the only presidential candidate not receive a post conference bounce :P

  • Democrats will cheer anything, this is proof.

  • @gazz12345a if you say that bush turned a record surplus into a deficit, they applaud. look it up on youtube.

  • @PatriotInChief I find it hard to understand how you can defend a candidate who was such a douchebag that he was unable to defeat the most retarded president in american history.

  • @gazz12345a i didn't defend him...

  • Cracks me up every time I hear that line, "I'm John Kerry and I'm reporting for duty". I can't even imagine that guy as leader of a Boy Scouts troop, let alone commander and chief of our armed forces.

  • blank space

  • That pandering quip about reporting for duty cost him the election.

  • Thank goodness Bush won, things worked out so well in his second term, even better than his first four years....

  • @rick9565=Faggot

  • This is one of the best nomination acceptance speeches EVER. The crowd was electrified. The message was crisp and very emotional. The only other speech that topped his was Obama's primary victory speech in Minesota.

  • Everything you need to know about John F'n Kerry is that he picked John Edwards as his running mate. Nice judgement of character, Kerry.

  • Reincarnation of Andrew Jackson?

  • Kerry is a self-absorbed, self-important uninspiring overrated dolt.

  • @AirCargoHeavy=Fuck you Teabagger

  • Quite frankly, I think we'd be better off if he'd won.

  • Shame he forgot polend....

  • reporting for doody

  • Its sorta good that he lost. We wouldn't have had the majorities to pass through ANYTHING in four years, and he would have been blamed for Iraq, and he would have lost in 2008 to some "fresh faced" Republican anyway.

    OBAMA 2012!

  • fail

  • SCREW YOU KERRY!!!

  • I remember watching this and thinking Where's the confetti?? And then out came that slimeball Edwards... gag!

  • PRO-COMMUNIST SENATOR "HANOI" JOHN KERRY SUPPORTS BRUTAL COMMUNIST VIETNAM BY KILLING VIETNAM HUMAN RIGHTS ACT IN THE SENATE.

He values dirty money and economic ties with communist Vietnam much more important than democracy and human rights values. Consequently, Vietnam has waged a new crackdown on democracy activists like Father Nguyen van Ly and lawyers Nguyen van Dai and Le thi Cong Nhan, who were given unfair, harsh sentences of several years in prison for their democracy activities.

  • i think i would have voted for kerry

  • @sxcboy4u who DID you vote for?

  • One of the best speeches ever given. Watched it on Fox news in sweden and it felt like he was talking diretly to me.

Obama should have get him a post in his gouverment.

  • That "reporting for duty" opening is awful but he delivers the rest of the speech effectively. I don't agree with what he's saying but he is a good speaker.

  • He's trying way too hard to emulate JFK with his speech tones here...

  • No wonder US lost Vietnam. With dumbasses like Kerry, no wonder!

  • wow lemme see you trying to run this country

  • @ntn1987

He was hero Asswipe. Unlike your hero 'Dubbers who played chicken shit and didnt even finish his Nat'l Guard tour. lol

  • @ntn1987 He was getting high the whole time.

  • I agree. Fuck the Retardicans.

  • right is right and left is wrong

    :)

  • @Clown5336

The left is the majority and the right is the minority.

  • But what is crucial, my fellow Democrats, is that we must take on these extremely important issues, such as health care, the economy, transportation, foreign policy, national security and so on. These issues affect the daily life of every man, woman and child and the things that need to be done to make our great nation better.

  • I am 30 years old and I have been a proud Democrat since I was 13. I believe that the Democratic party is the greatest political party, not just in the United States of America, but in all the universe. Our party has gone through some good times and through some bad times. We are not winners and we are not losers. We are only survivors. Our party will live forever!

  • Worst Democrat ever!

  • how cute , confident and strong leader America lost

  • This speech as a whole was good, but he needed to stop with the vietnam veteran thing. I get what he was going for (since Bush has no military experience or intelligence for that matter LOL), but he kept hamming on and on about being on a boat in the Mekong Delta.

  • lol I forgot how funny this was.

  • His whole "I'm John Kerry reporting for duty" thing was kinda stupid. It was kind of like saying "I'm gonna save the day."

  • Take a look in the mirror...

  • Kerry.....what a phony.

  • Hope someone in the near future will finally bring the evidence of Election fraud in 2000 and 2004 to light and get the people involved

  • It has been brought to light and the culprits were Al Gore and John Kerry.

  • This is the man who offered John McCain the VP job in 2004. He probably would have won if McCain accepted.

    John Edwards, lol, loser!

  • I would rather have kerry right now than obama. Kerry may be a couple cards short of a full deck but Obama is dangerous with an evil agenda for this country

  • What's evil? Health care for all, reigning in corporations, womens reproductive rights? He inherited eight years of evil politics. Give him a break.

  • You're a tool.

  • He voted for the Iraqi invasion before he voted against it!

  • Why are people talking about having sex with palin, I personally wouldn't have sex with a retard. (Thumbs down because you fucking suck)

  • "I'm John Kerry, and I NEED JESUS!"

  • i'd dick-drill palin.

  • Palin has the PACKAGE! You can't dick-drill her. She will DICK DRILL YOU!

  • im a democrat

and this speech is a joke

  • @DanielPlay72 well, its john kerry, lol, I was mad when he got the nomination, never liked him, flip flops to much

  • Comment removed

  • If he had won America wouldn't have had President Obama.

And he was clearly an awful candidate. The economy would still have imploded under him and the Republicans would be where the Democrats are right now. It would've spelled the end of the United States of America as we know them.

Bastard dodged a bullet, and so did the country.

  • i agree!

  • @MickTaylor but obama is garbage too so whats your point?

  • @barryorange. I thought Kerry would have been the better choice too back in 2004 but a lot of people still liked Bush at the time and people didn't really know Kerry, it's too bad Al Gore choose not to run or he would have been Bush's democratic rival again but it's hard to say if he would have beated Bush.

  • @barryorange

    a real american.

  • @barryorange so what think about who is in office know?

  • what a crap speech whats this reporting for duty crap shouldnt you start with i respect the parties nomination he forgot to mention that

  • agree this has to be the worst acceptance speech in DNC history. His and his wife babbling on. I would have voted democrat in 2004 but I simply cant stand this phoney guy & I'm glad that we waited a cycled and got Obama who is at least more inspiring. Inspiring IS important!

  • I was a delegate at this convention. I must say that I was disappointed with the entire convention outside of Barack Obama and the moving speeches from Max Cleland and Jim Rassmann, whose life Kerry saved in Vietnam. What irked me was Terry McAuliffe's decision to stifle any speeches that said anything negative about George Bush and Dick Cheney. Did they think that the Republicans would return the favor when their convention came around? Had Kerry won, McCain may be president right now. Uggg

  • This guy is so cool!

I'll never regret supporting him during my first election in 2004. I actually convinced both of my parents (longtime Republicans) to support Kerry. That really isn't saying much, though, because they were already heavily leaning his way. Kerry has an outstanding record of service in his community and in this country. I really hope the rumors are true because Kerry belongs in the Obama cabinet.

  • I'm no Bush supporter but spent 2 yrs in Iraq (civilian lawyer dealing w Iraq US treaty relations) and was a rare opportunity to meet a lot of v senior US Gov types of both parties and who know Kerry. I could not find ONE person who knows him who would say anything good about him even his campaign staff. Words were "phoney" "sucks the oxygen out of the room""clawing name dropper" and constant sucking up 2 fame n prestigious pple n behind the scenes cant remember 1/2 his staff cuz not important

  • john kerry must get a role in the obama administration. he's too good to be outside of it!

  • 100% agreed. i think obama should've picked him as VP, but i thnk biden is up to the task though

  • Bush/Cheny 08 and 12 and forever!

  • are you redneck retards serious???? watch the news for 15 mins...that opinion will change very fast.

  • no wonder kerry lost. He didnt look like he was ready to be president! Very ackward body language.

  • Bush(R) 62,036,320 Popular Votes(All Time Record Total which will almost certainly be surpassed on Nov. 4) 50.5% 286 Electoral Votes 32 states won Kerry(D) 58,821,634 Popular Votes 48.0% 251 Electoral Votes 18 states, DC won

  • obama is WAY better

  • John Kerry voted for the war in Iraq

John Kerry voted for No Child Left Behind

John Kerry voted for higher medicare premiums

    Kerry changed positions

  • I wasn't old enough in 04 but I supported and campaigned for kerry. This year for hillary,Now McCain obama is not qualified democrats made a horrible choice this year probably the worst ever in history,Kerry,Hillary those would have been great candidates for 08.

    McCain08 Better qualified democrat 2012

  • If you love Hillary and Kerry, and are supporting McCain, they'd be very upset with you!

  • you do know mccain was a potential running mate for kerry in 04?almost happend and hillary is only being forced by her party to endorse him i know deep down she can't stand him.

  • totally agree, even though Bill and Hillary are "campaigning" for Obama, deep down they really are supporting McCain! McCain and Bill Clinton are good friends.

  • Well we wouldn't have been BROKE.

  • You're a freak !!You think Bush did much better ?

  • You just have no clue. Its not worth my time arguing with you.

  • For god sakes, Bush won this election because he was "A good chrsitain with fine morals"

What does THAT say about Bush ..

  • That he's a good Christian with fine morals? I don't see anything wrong with being a good Christian with fine morals. Except Bush didn't exercise his faith neither his morals all too well.

  • agreed!

  • You're the best John Kerry!

  • are you serious? if he was "the best" he would have won lol. This man is the biggest flip-flop there ever was in the Senate.

  • Bahh this brings back bad memories. November '04 was a depressing month.

  • he would of been trilion times better than bush, thats a fact.

  • a fact huh? sounds more like an opinion to me. a rather naive one at that.

  • Really? Yo SERIOUSLY want to argue that he would be worse?

  • SHAME ON YOU, KARL ROVE !!!!!!

  • I can't stand Bush and I'm 100% Democrat... but this guy was a tool.

  • Ketchup Kerry lost big time.....

  • Gotta admit the best part of this speech was Van Halen at the end.

  • Kerry would've been so much better than FOUR MORE YEARS of Bush. People are going to elect McCain, and they will get four more years of punishment for it. Just watch.

  • the repercussions extend further than just 4 years.

  • look at the guy he looks like a pushover were as howerd dean would have been beter

  • to atticus:

    ya, no kidding...

I'm nott interested in seeing who will win teh election, I'm interested in seeing how McCain and the neoc0ns are going to steal it DX

  • Damn, he would have been a brilliant President.

  • you're an idiot

  • You'll eat your words in November.

  • Looks like you were wrong. Hopefully you'll support Obama just as fervently as you did his predecessor!

  • Kerry would've made a great president. America is now badly paying for re-electing Bush.

  • Hey niteowlsean,

Ever heard of Truman, Kennedy or Lyndon Johnson, all democratic presidents, they also fought against the soviets for a combined 12 years. Truman first sent troops into Korea, an unpopular idea, especially with Republicans, to continue his idea of "Containment" of Communism throughout the world. It was Kennedy who defused the Cuban Missile Crisis, a situation that had the world one trigger from absolute destruction.

  • Also niteowlsean,

Kennedy ordered the first troops into Vietnam, to continue "Containment," and it was Lyndon Johnson who continued that fight. All three of these Presidents, along with their Republican counterparts, stood strong against communism slowly outfighting, and outspending the Soviet Empire, making the Soviets weak when Reagan came to power. This made Reagan's job simply to continue their work and finish the job.

  • He should be a GREAT president!

    Obama '08

  • ahhhhhh this election was soooo much better than the current one

Kerry had so much more of a chance and is a much better speaker

    i miss 04 :(

  • Had John Kerry stood up to a cunt that George W. Bush was, he could've won... But, he didn't... SHAME ON VIETNAM VETS who Bashed Kerry during 2004 Elections... Those Cunt Vets were the first ones to lose their benefits when W won the 2nd Term...

  • never thought of it like that, but it' true. look how bush repaid them.

  • He would've been a good president.

  • winning the Cold War? If the Dumbocrats had their way..which was to seek accomodation with the the Evil Soviets.. make no mistake..the Soviets were evil, all the leaders since Lenin had publicly stated that their goal was world domination and the destruction of the US, its in the history books. Your leaders, Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, they all decried the tough stance Reagan took against the Soviets..

  • Your history books have so much errors in them it's laughable.

  • Reporting for duty? Voters...kicked him out of boot camp..what a liar...the E Germans & Russians would've never let a kid on a bike ride into E Berlin..they would've shot him with guns & evil in their hearts, then again the Dumbocrats can't see the evil that communists are..as the Dumbocrats are communists...

  • You need jesus, and then some college for analytical thinking

  • College does not provide tools for analytical thinking, but liberal indoctrination....do you really thing that the Soviets would have let some kid ride his bike into East Berlin? One needed documentation to prove where they were from to cross the border..read the history books..get off your liberal high horse and remember history...

  • i was backing him, but he wasnt a very strong or agrressive candidate like barack obama is...barack 08

  • Inspirational...but not as good as Obama's Keynote Address (the best speech of the '04 Election)

  • i thought it was one of the best speeches i ever heard. I mean people often said he was a boring speaker, but i disagree. I always thought he spoke in the style of the classic greats.

  • so inspirational
