This is a story bout a nerd up really late one night. A hungry grew inside him he has had good eggs but couldnt never cook them himself. Generally used a lid and made chewy over done eggs very unsatisfing. He stumbled upon this video and is now enjoy the best eggs of his life. BEST + TASTING!

TIP ; if you use a bit more butter / oil you can use your spatula to baste the egg/eggs ; that's how my family has done it for as long as i can remember, also using the metal spoon is ok as long as you don't scratch the pan keep the rounded bottom of the spoon on the pan and gently scoop up the oil/butter for basting.

Great tip - but yes - I'm concerned about that metal spoon in the nonstick pan too - so - I guess I'd try to do it with a heat resistant plastic spoon - or - I dunno - some sort of little dropper from an (unused) medicine bottle. Thnx for making this!

Eggs marinating (quite literally) in butter? Awesome! What's for breakfast dessert? A pound of chocolate coated in lard?

This is an expensive way to make perfect eggs. It's also pretty greasy. Why not just start the eggs in a preheated (@ medium heat) cast iron pan with a touch of butter. Once the egg(s) have sat there a bit and the bottoms have hardened, transfer the pan and eggs into an over that's set to broil (preheat the oven, obviously). Leave in there for about a minute and you should have perfect eggs without the butter overdose.
