  • LMAO hannity & colmes

  • I like how at 1:30 there is a woman sitting behind Ricky Gervais who is turning to someone next to her with this look on her face like "WTF is this?"

  • I can't...even...speak... LOVE. LOVE THIS SO MUCH. <33

  • 1:26 The Lady behind Gervasis says: "What is he talking about."

  • Colbert is ALWAYS eating something! Cracks me up.

  • 1:26 the girl behind ricky has no idea what they are trying to say :)

  • For some reason I feel that Colbert can fill in steve carell's shoes in the office.

  • They complement each other perfectly!!

  • N E 1 here knows when they will be back from THEIR BREAK...

  • 1:17 "Shriveled and hard to swallow" -Steve Carell was probably thinking "That's what she said" and maybe that's why he was laughing @ 1:26 :)

  • @MsKarlis23 Dude that was Ricky Gervais not Steve Carell at 1:26

  • @thebigjay426 Actually it was both. Steve Carell can be heard in the background.

  • @ksmksm97 I thought he was talking about the the person at 1:26

  • @thebigjay426 You can hear Steve Carrell laughing out loud in the background! I wasn't talking about Ricky SMILING @ 1:26

  • This is one of my "go to" vids when I'm having a craptacular day & need some comic relief. Colbert is so sly with the details... watch / listen as his voice 'catches' on a prune when he sez "What could possibly go wrong?"

And yes, can I haz a Emmy broadcast with Colbert / Stewart hosting for 2011...2012...20xx?

  • jon ,stephen, steve carrell, conana o brian and ricky gervais are the FUNNIEST MEN ALIVE :) HANDS DOWN

  • Did you notice that they are complete opposites, Jon has a tie and unbuttoned jacket, Stephen has a bow tie and buttoned jacket, Jon doesn't have a ring, Stephen does, Stephen is wearing glasses, Jon isn't. Grey hair, black hair. Lol. sorry. :P

  • the dumb blonde behind ricky gervais 1:26 asks her friend, "what is he talking about?" lol

  • bet no republicans got the joke

  • No you can hear Steve Carells at 1:23

  • never enough. what could possibly go wrong?? :DDDDDDDDDDD

  • sorry guys I was so excited about watching this again that I hit the dislike button 45 times..just count those as likes.

  • After 8 years of prunes a BUNCH of shit happened......

  • Jon Stewart set it up brilliantly when he first said "Obviously, tonight - no politics..." Great subtle way to plant politics in the back of the audience's minds.

Unfortunately, the blonde behind Gervais wasn't too bright.

  • wow. the dumbass behind Ricky gervais is like " who are they talking about " I love these two actors. funniest thing EVER

  • prunes = bush?

  • @waynechengg Prunes =McCain.

  • Look at the stupid broad behind Gervais not knowing what the fuck is going on. Lol

  • Apart from the 2 fruits at the beginning, great stuff

  • Ryan Seacrest is so fake.

I don't understand how Stephen Colbert says the things he says w/o laughing. He's awesome.

  • every time i watch colbert, he makes me think twice or even more about what he is saying, to find hidden meanings lol this guy is a genius

  • OMG i accidently hit the dislike button !!!!! I AM AN IDIOT

  • At 1:26, Who's the blonde lady behind Gervais in the crowd? It looks like she asks the person next to her, "Who's he talking about?" At least that's how I choose to see it; it makes it even more funny for me.

  • 1:24

    steve carell laugh :D

  • @MrHarrytubing

can hear him cackling over the others

  • this made me want to guy out and buy a bag of prunes :P

  • lmao seems like the emmys will take a jab at fox whenever they can. no wonder fox always cries about the liberal media.

  • @1234blahluv=FAUX NEWS BITCH

  • @1234blahluv=TEABAGGER SARAH FALIN FAN! YOUR MOM IS A BITCH!

  • Comment removed

  • "You can never have enough prunes. Nothing could possibly go wrong." haha I want to marry Stephen Colbert. Too funny to describe!!

  • I love the transition in the mood from when people are trying to figure out where Stephen is going with the prunes to knowing exactly where he's going with the prunes.

  • stephen is brilliant. he somehow always finds ways to incorporate food, and it always makes perfect sense

  • I love the woman behind Ricky Gervais @ @ 1:27 who obviously has no idea what they are talking about.

  • I think the best part of this video (well apart from them being awesome) is Steve Carell laughing his head off in the background.

  • ricky gervais looks just like a fucking SHARK! lol

  • So Is Colbert going for the prune Or Againist it

  • Comment removed

  • @2pac675 He was in his Colbert Report character there, so he was a staunch republican who was for the prune (John McCain). Since The Colbert Report is a spoof on republican talk show hosts though, he was being sarcastic and doesn't mean what he says.

  • i dont get it! someone explain to me (dont be rude)

  • @2pac675 the prune is a reference to john mccain

  • @2pac675 The prunes are a reference to McCain being old so he has to eat prunes to keep his bladder regulated. During the election McCain released his medical records bc it's required that political candidates let the public know if they have any health conditions. McCain had over 2000 pages in his medical records spanning only 8 years. Colbert was referring to Obama as the "sexy plum" which is sweet & fresh. Obama had 1 page in his medical records over the last 2 years and it was perfect.

  • @trw1501 i think u got it backward Obama medical record of the last 21 years and McCain of the last 2 years.

  • Hahaha x)

  • Genius.

  • colbert is so dry. what could possibly go wrong? LOL!!!

  • The girl behind Ricky Gervais doesn't get it, heh.

  • Ricky!

  • come on morons, they're talking about mccain!

  • is this supposed to be funny? seriously?

  • @ViSK05 Its not funny is you don't understand it.

  • the best part about this skit - some of the audience didn't get the reference.... oy mama

  • @VulcanDax LOL I noticed that too. Some people just don't understand the genius of the skit.

  • I love when the camera is focusing on Steve Carrel for a moment. And how Jon is just about to crack up - like they use to do when they do something.

  • haha that was hella smart! Props for colbert

  • the blonde at 1:28 obviously didn't understand shit...

  • He means diarrhea right?

  • @ammerocks the prunes were a metaphor for john mccain, aka "dried up old fruit has the experience we need". on another level, prunes make you shit. theyre saying that if another "prune" was in office, america would soon be dealing with a whole lot of shit.

  • HAHAHA! Ryan Seacrest - not funny.

  • @slus90 LMAO

  • they should host the emmys together. it'd be the best award show ever.

  • I need a prune! lol

  • you can hear Steve Carell laughing at 1:26

  • omg, its the AFV guy!

  • Could someone please explain the whole prune deal to me?

  • @ThatOneAgain This was in 2008 so it was a joke on the presidential race. John McCain is being referred to as the prune. :p

  • @KibblesKapture I see, now it makes sense. Thank you.

  • @ThatOneAgain

A prune is old and dried up. Kind of like the president from 2000-2008.

  • they're the next best thing to Abbot and Costello

  • LOL the chick behind ricky gervais had no clue.....

  • lmao ok i laughed at the opening at the FOX News joke

  • What are you doing?

    What.

  • Tom Bergeron, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert, my three favorite men! YAY!!

  • o.o i love the comparison between the first two group of group of guys and their attempt at humor (just comes off as robotic) and then colbert and johns attempts at humor (fluid)

its not the jokes that make the show its the comedian and his delivery.

bet colbert and john could have made the hanity and colms joke funny

  • These guys need to host an award show one of these years!! omg epicness right there!

  • Truely great duo of the CC. Great last line of Stephen. If you get THE chance watch stephen vs stephen on the early daily shows. Great twists between Correl and Colbert!

  • Seems like 50% or so of the audience didn't get the joke, especially the dumb blonde behind Ricky Gervais.

  • @peaceandmetal88 thats just sad coz...ricky is british and he got the joke!

more than 50% of shobiz people in america are just plain dumb...

  • dynamic duo....i find colbert's satirical conservativeness much funnier when contrasted against stewart

  • i can hear steve carell laughing in the background

  • lol...I can just see a picture of Mcain behind them.

  • Colbert exposes the secretive Bilderberg group on the air! Balls of steel. watch?v=WyhCtbAuHbk

  • the prunes bit was actually a political thing! thiss was during the debate to! so basically it was sayin no more old pruns! we need plums! lol very deep! haha -What could got wrong? = ALOT OF SHIT!!!

  • @co0li30a9 I thought it was more like Colbert was supporting "old prunes" instead of "sexy plums" (or mccain vs obama)... but Colbert supporting the old prune and saying what could go wrong? LOL XP

  • absolutely brilliant.

  • Jake and Amir?

  • "Obviously, tonight, no politics..."

Lol! Jon and Stephen are awesome.

  • Stephen Colbert & Jon Stewart are the best

  • The 3 funniest Tv people are Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Joel Mchale

  • @TaylorTV5 Omg yes! You got it exactly right!! :D

  • There was a time when Hollywood was very conservative. Ronald Reagan came from the Hollywood of that era. Funny, I never hear conservatives like you complaining of those times. In fact, some state a desire to return to those standards

By the way, Hollywood contains a few conservatives even today, and the liberals in Hollywood still employee them

  • I like how people who troll look up big words and act like they use them in their regular vocabulary.

  • at least it wasn't "political"

  • ryan joke at the begging epic fail

  • i love how you can hear carell cracking up in the background at 1:24

once again, Colbert and Stewart own the Emmys!!!!!! love them <3

  • LMAO!!!!!!

  • shit audience. except Ricky Gervais

  • Do you guys think that the Hollywood morons got the joke?

  • "What could possible go wrong?" LOL

  • a young sexy plum. HAHA

  • damn i just realized how many prunes colbert shovelled down there.... is there anything he can't do? the man approaches norrisdom...

  • How did colbert eat so many and still deliver content. I got full just watching that.

  • at 1.26 does the woman behind Ricky Gervais(sp?) ask what the joke is?

  • Did all the audience got the joke?

  • I don't think so, they didn't really laugh after Jon said "You'd think after 8 years..." I thought that was hilarious. And many of them didn't seem to get it. This is why Hollywood shouldn't involve themselves in politics. They just pretend to be liberal. I doubt many of them even knows what that means. You'd think they'd vote Republican because that way they'd get tax cuts.

  • It's more fashionable to be liberal. It's also more humane, but yeah, most Hollywood stars don't exactly have to worry about paying their rent on time.

Another joke they missed, which while not hilarious made me snicker, was the opener about Hannity and Combes. Silence. I bet these stars didn't even know who they are.

  • Haha, I know. I doubt Seacrest even knows who they were (aka I doubt he wrote his own jokes). I thought it was funny, but apparently Hollywood had no idea. Sad really. I laughed, but then realized it was completely silent.

  • r u shitting me ? u think they don't know who Hannity & Combes are? they were waiting for the punch line! (which u seldom get). r u a trogladite? 'lodazator' is part of the 'world end game': stupidity, incarnate. (sigh) shit!

  • Just as an aside, when calling someone stupid it would probably lend credence to your argument if you are able to demonstrate proper grammar and spelling. Not to be a pedant there, but the irony is quite delicious.

The crowd missed the punchline, as it seems you did also. This suggests they didn't understand the joke, which would only be possible if they had no clue who the joke was about.

    Did this help?

  • Excuse me Mr. Hillbilly you fucked up your verb tenses in your first sentence. It would lend credence to your arguments if you were able to shut the fuck up in such scenarios.

Just an aside, what does your fucking rent have to do with anything? Believe me, you should strive to become an ardent Gramscian Marxist and adopt the moniker of Richard The-guy-who-tries-to-sound-smart-on-youtube-because-no-one-takes-him-seriously-in-the-harsh-reality-in-which-he-lives.

I'd love to see a reply

  • Well I could point out all the errors in YOUR reply, but that hardly seems necessary. If you're unable to decipher the point of something when it is stated explicitly and clearly, then you're not really on a level to discuss it.

By the way, no, I didn't mess up the verb tenses. Read again, brainiac.

  • MAN you are a schmuck! "it would... if....you... ARE" hmm, sorry. I think you should have worked harder on your SATs my friend. They may seem completely useless but then and again they are occasionally relevant. And I know that wasn't your point. Actually, it was so obvious that I knew that that wasn't your point that your referral to me being besides the point actually demonstrates how crushing my remark was.

And you're right, me and you will never be on the same level to discuss anything.

  • Oh how cute, you think you're literate.

Shame you're unaware that 'would' can be used in the future tense, or in place of 'will' to the same effect.

Oh, and by the way, the correct usage is: "you and I," not "me and you".

Teehee. I bet you thought you were really good at English, didn't you?

Come back and make even more of an ass of yourself. this is fun. :)

  • Oh, and when you ask what someone's comment has to do with anything, this suggests that you don't have any idea what the fuck the point of it was.

Don't blame me just because you're inarticulate and dense. You should probably retake your own SATs.

  • oh he was talking about McCain as if he was the prune

  • Are you kidding or being serious? You knew that all along, right?

  • no i am serious he was talking abut McCain

  • I know it was about McCain, I was wondering if you being serious about not knowing that right away. I laughed so hard when he said that.

  • Comment removed

  • No he's not. John is the one who is small. lol

  • stephen colbert is TALL!!! damn...

  • no he isn`t Jon is just small

  • You sound cranky :(

  • hoadrocket...yeah that's a typical stereotype for a non fan.

  • @Douglasm5 OMFG A DODO?!

  • I want to see Stewart and Colbert guest star on the Office or maybe collaborate with Steve Carell on a script.

  • I was saying the exact same thing. But, minus Jon Stewart because I can't think of anything for him (I'm a HUGE fan of his, but in terms of the shows... can't do much). But have Colbert do a Fallback Job segment at Dunder Mifflin. The Office episode would be him filming it and causing trouble in the Office, and The Colbert Report showing a heavily edited version of what was filmed at The Office. I already thought of the opening joke for The Office and some of the editing for The C. Report haha.

  • Just watch old the Daily Show clips. Pure awesomness.

  • @josabby474

If they ever have Michael Scott's brother on the show he should be played by Colbert.

  • they should just host together already. they're always the best presenters anyway

  • He has the mindlessly ideological genious thing down pat. He is becoming one of the most power guys in the US at this point.

  • they should work together more often

people don't realize how smart both guys are.

  • @RayAtheist stephen colbert used to be on the daily show with jon stewart- until he figured he wanted to leave and starrt his own show

  • 0:58-1:08 DWIGHT!!

  • yeah!!

  • LOL absolutely genius.

  • i love them...they are so funny!!!!!

they make everyone else just look...bad.

  • wow haha....subtle or not, it's on point

  • Hahaha. Oh wow. This is why I love those two guys. They are the FUNNIEST EVER. :)

  • ...you'd think after EIGHT YEARS OF PRUNES...

  • did they do one for the 2009 emmys?

  • Yes, I NEED TO!

  • Yes, America is full of shit.

  • colbert and stewart should present every award for every award show together.

  • totally agree, their soooo funny

  • Those two are my heroes, so I agree!

  • John McCain !!! HAHAHAHAHA

  • 1:26...1:28

I think the blond behind Gervais is asking "I don't geddit - what's so funny about prunes?"

  • hahha stephen has the funniest rants

  • lol.. 'what could possibly go wrong?' it looks like he ate more than five.. raging diarrhea sounds pretty wrong to me!

  • you do know what the prune were representing right?

  • haha of course ;)

  • FUNNY !

  • I love how Colbert eats the prunes! So funny!

  • lol, "what could possibly go wrong?"

  • o yup ,you're rite Stephen, there's no provision to forbid prunes on Emmys XD

  • skip the first 15 seconds, trust me
