some psychological warfare tactics are meant to completely paralyze people mentally. If every person in a persons life friend and foe attacks an the same individual it is meant to freeze a persons mind and shut them down. This tactic would be used to make some one go insane if employed against them when they are right and wrong. Psychological warfare.
This is one of my "go to" vids when I'm having a craptacular day & need some comic relief. Colbert is so sly with the details... watch / listen as his voice 'catches' on a prune when he sez "What could possibly go wrong?"
And yes, can I haz a Emmy broadcast with Colbert / Stewart hosting for 2011...2012...20xx?
Did you notice that they are complete opposites, Jon has a tie and unbuttoned jacket, Stephen has a bow tie and buttoned jacket, Jon doesn't have a ring, Stephen does, Stephen is wearing glasses, Jon isn't. Grey hair, black hair. Lol. sorry. :P
In all this game, the devil is the victim, is the scapegoat, will be acused of everything cause the GOD don’t want any rivals*. Conclusion: live at the full in the freedom of GOD (praying in a right form, following the INSTRUCTIONS in the Bible - keeping the 10 commandments - including keeping the Saturday as the 7th day etc.) instead of in the incapacity and limited power of devil cause he is just a temporary puppet.
Jon Stewart set it up brilliantly when he first said "Obviously, tonight - no politics..." Great subtle way to plant politics in the back of the audience's minds.
Unfortunately, the blonde behind Gervais wasn't too bright.
At 1:26, Who's the blonde lady behind Gervais in the crowd? It looks like she asks the person next to her, "Who's he talking about?" At least that's how I choose to see it; it makes it even more funny for me.
I love the transition in the mood from when people are trying to figure out where Stephen is going with the prunes to knowing exactly where he's going with the prunes.
@2pac675 He was in his Colbert Report character there, so he was a staunch republican who was for the prune (John McCain). Since The Colbert Report is a spoof on republican talk show hosts though, he was being sarcastic and doesn't mean what he says.
@2pac675 The prunes are a reference to McCain being old so he has to eat prunes to keep his bladder regulated. During the election McCain released his medical records bc it's required that political candidates let the public know if they have any health conditions. McCain had over 2000 pages in his medical records spanning only 8 years. Colbert was referring to Obama as the "sexy plum" which is sweet & fresh. Obama had 1 page in his medical records over the last 2 years and it was perfect.
@ammerocks the prunes were a metaphor for john mccain, aka "dried up old fruit has the experience we need". on another level, prunes make you shit. theyre saying that if another "prune" was in office, america would soon be dealing with a whole lot of shit.
o.o i love the comparison between the first two group of group of guys and their attempt at humor (just comes off as robotic) and then colbert and johns attempts at humor (fluid)

@co0li30a9 I thought it was more like Colbert was supporting "old prunes" instead of "sexy plums" (or mccain vs obama)... but Colbert supporting the old prune and saying what could go wrong? LOL XP
There was a time when Hollywood was very conservative. Ronald Reagan came from the Hollywood of that era. Funny, I never hear conservatives like you complaining of those times. In fact, some state a desire to return to those standards
By the way, Hollywood contains a few conservatives even today, and the liberals in Hollywood still employee them
@dontstarepleasek Actually, Obama is looking more and more like a dick everyday now, 'cause there is NOTHING progressive about his policies, none whatsoever.
I don't think so, they didn't really laugh after Jon said "You'd think after 8 years..." I thought that was hilarious. And many of them didn't seem to get it. This is why Hollywood shouldn't involve themselves in politics. They just pretend to be liberal. I doubt many of them even knows what that means. You'd think they'd vote Republican because that way they'd get tax cuts.
It's more fashionable to be liberal. It's also more humane, but yeah, most Hollywood stars don't exactly have to worry about paying their rent on time.
Another joke they missed, which while not hilarious made me snicker, was the opener about Hannity and Combes. Silence. I bet these stars didn't even know who they are.
Haha, I know. I doubt Seacrest even knows who they were (aka I doubt he wrote his own jokes). I thought it was funny, but apparently Hollywood had no idea. Sad really. I laughed, but then realized it was completely silent.
r u shitting me ? u think they don't know who Hannity & Combes are? they were waiting for the punch line! (which u seldom get). r u a trogladite? 'lodazator' is part of the 'world end game': stupidity, incarnate. (sigh) shit!

The crowd missed the punchline, as it seems you did also. This suggests they didn't understand the joke, which would only be possible if they had no clue who the joke was about.
Excuse me Mr. Hillbilly you fucked up your verb tenses in your first sentence. It would lend credence to your arguments if you were able to shut the fuck up in such scenarios.
Just an aside, what does your fucking rent have to do with anything? Believe me, you should strive to become an ardent Gramscian Marxist and adopt the moniker of Richard The-guy-who-tries-to-sound-smart-on-youtube-because-no-one-takes-him-seriously-in-the-harsh-reality-in-which-he-lives.
Well I could point out all the errors in YOUR reply, but that hardly seems necessary. If you're unable to decipher the point of something when it is stated explicitly and clearly, then you're not really on a level to discuss it.
By the way, no, I didn't mess up the verb tenses. Read again, brainiac.
MAN you are a schmuck! "it would... if....you... ARE" hmm, sorry. I think you should have worked harder on your SATs my friend. They may seem completely useless but then and again they are occasionally relevant. And I know that wasn't your point. Actually, it was so obvious that I knew that that wasn't your point that your referral to me being besides the point actually demonstrates how crushing my remark was.
And you're right, me and you will never be on the same level to discuss anything.
