  • Why is this called CARMiddleEast? It's not shot in middle east, nor is the host middle eastern... Does the car come with a bomb? :/

  • @TheCrazyFinn

Well it's a Bond car, so anything is possible ;-)

The video was produced for CAR Middle East magazine, and the presenter is the former Editor. However please check out our YouTube channel for videos with a more 'Middle Eastern' flavour!

    YouTube / CARMiddleEast

    Thanks for watching

  • @TheCrazyFinn Actually moron, because the owners of aston martin are kuwaiti and most of the purchasers of astons come from the middle-east "since many of them can actually afford it".

So while they drive away in aston martins all you can do is make cheap ass jokes. talk about does the car come with a bomb. douche bag!

  • @MondoBongoz Yeah, that's true. But it's too bad the wealth in the region is so unevenly distributed, that while a handful of people are driving around in the most expensive cars, others have to sell their sons to be trainded as suicide bombers, so they can afford to buy food.

And the rich ones are only rich because they were born into the right family, thus controlling most of the country's natural resources...

  • @TheCrazyFinn However, contrary to your frail attempt at making sound social science deductions there is also a class called the “upper-middle class” who studied at the best universities (your universities) and worked their assess off with years of sound financing and saving to be able to afford an Aston and lead a comfortable life. Regardless of your attempt to ignore these people by manifesting your own myopic preconceptions about the “region” this class I speak off exists and I am an example.

  • @TheCrazyFinn What is this? A debrief of a very poorly made BBC documentary on the middle-east? What ticks me off is where to imbeciles like yourself get the authority to make grave generalizations about a whole people without even acknowledging the geopolitical differences of the region. Most important is this preoccupation with categorizing everybody; either an good for nothing elitist or a low life terrorist.

  • @TheCrazyFinn I wish this thread was only for admiring this beautiful machine rather than a spiral of commentary. but it's important that people like you who make generalizations (which may well have many elements of truth to them), not accept such generalizations in the absolute. And hey, look at your own region before speaking about other people's regions. For example, find out who owns you whether it is aristocratic european royalty or the elitist 1% (the old corporate reptiles).

  • @MondoBongoz Luckily we manage to deal with corrupt people in my region, Finland. As the old saying goes: "There's some work for an axe." ;)

  • @TheCrazyFinn Same here. Finland is not less progressive than any other civil community including those of the middle east.

  • @TheCrazyFinn And hence the rather promotional video is targeting them.

  • the chase is not 15 min its 4 min

  • what color is the aston???

  • Quantum Silver

  • are you sure? i cheked it up on google and gave me a different color

  • I'm fairly sure because that is what one of the salesmen at my local Aston Martin dealership called it. Then again, I could be wrong :-)

  • No dumbass, it definitely is Quantum Silver and most definitely is not Casino Royale

  • quantum silver is not a Aston Martin color dudde

  • Yes it is. Google Quantum Silver DBS and find out for yourself. What are you having trouble understanding? Casino Royale is a color, named after the Casino Royale movie. Quantum Silver is a color named after Quantum of Solace.

  • Apologies. You are right.

  • it could be the special 'casino royale' color

  • Graish dark, its usally light silver thow but its DBS there collectors

  • Question: Why are you comparing these two cars?? They're completely different in just about every way.

Also, shouldn't this be shot in the desert somewhere instead of the English countryside?

  • sadly (as much as i love the DBS) the DBS has severe problems getting above 309. It certainly can't reach 320 (tested in Nardo). I love it, but Dr Bez ought to do something about the engine. key in utube: NEW Highspeed Test @ NARDO 2008 - 0-300km/h+ Acceleration Corvette ZR1 + 5 Supercars

  • why speeds in kph?

  • Because it's a video for the Middle East market, where KPH is the unit of speed used.

  • compare the prices of those cars. You get an 159 at around 40.000. For an DBS, you have to pay at least 300.000.

  • Yeah, bit of an odd choice for the bad guys in the Bond film. You'd think they'd have a fair bit of trouble keeping up with the Aston.

  • you're right. They play in different leagues. But well, the 159s just look really cool, they are italian cars and also quite popular in italian movies (police and gangsters always drive alfas over there), so they fit the bill.

I also really like the design of the 159. It just looks aggressive and cool, and you only see a few on german roads. So you can claim to drive a really unique car! Also, they cost less than a BMW or Audi, but there, they play in the SAME league! :D
