  • In the words of Adam West, this final episode was: "...one of our weaker episodes, and a sad way to go..."

Though it's funny that Commissioner Gordon gave Zsa Zsa Gabor a dignified exit. (The same way he did Ms. Tallulah Bankhead.)

The 3rd season "I'll Be a Mummy's Uncle" would have ended this saga on a better note.

  • Batgirl is so HOT!

  • In real Life the man who played Commissioner Gordon was ina wheel chair in his last days on earth later ion he died.

  • sad that this was the last ep ... and sad about S4 ..look it up if you want to know why it didnt happen ..i think that it should of had a beta ending !

  • Hey kozmonot in the first Batgirl episode, Alfred found out that Batgirl was really Barbara Gordon. While Batman and Robin were fighting the Penguin's thugs, she made him promise not to reveal her secret .

  • Pity about what happened to Zsa Zsa, earlier this year.

  • waidaminnit

what is Alfred and Batgirl's little secret? Is he her real father? Are they lovers?

  • rip Alfred

  • Well FanOfBats I sat here and watched all three seasons. Sad ending to a great series. But none the less great job on uploading these episodes. :)

  • Thank you so much for uploading these :)

  • "Who knows Robin, who ever knows?" The sad last lines of Batman :(

  • Hmm - the fight has been cut somewhat!!

  • Seriously? Last Episode?

  • I simply love the fact that none of the crooks tried to attack Robin while he was freeing Batgirl and Alfred. =D

  • "what? what?!?! WHAT?!?!" lawl hilarious

  • Hey how come at the end of the episode there was no voiceover from William Dozier intoning something like "Tune in to next week's episode of Batman!"

  • Hi Diddle Riddle!

  • Yes, this was the very last episode. It only lasted a couple of years.

  • Commissioner Gordon is a naive idiot!

  • they never found out who batgirl really is. how sad:(

  • I'm sure that they would have done if the series carried on. I wished they found out the Green Hornet and Kato's true identities and vice-versa in that crossover two-parter, but in secret so that the Gotham public still wouldn't know.

  • ... and that's it? O_o No "Grand Finale?" Just an ending among the rest?

  • NBC wanted to pick up the show for another season, unfortunately ABC had all the sets destroyed and NBC was unwillingly to pay for new ones.

ABC had also considered doing a a fourth on a lower budget. They wanted to remove O'Hara and Robin and make Batgirl Batman's partner. West objected to the idea

  • Why would they get rid of Robin? He was the best partner for Batman! Good for Adam West for objecting to that idea.

  • @Starnight101 They also wanted to make a fourth season of Batman, but the set was already destroyed and they did not want to build a new one so it was officially cancelled.

  • @potsdam28 that would have been interesting and neat. I like Batgirl better than Robin anyway.

  • And so what ends one saga starts another. The Batman must live on in our hearts as well as the inner child in us that screams "Superheroes Rule"!

  • and so this was the end of three years

    with a rather uninteresting villen

dispit its faults the sereies helped the sales of the comics and saved it from cancelation. it also saved alfred's life

after the series the comics became much more serious.leading into batman's golden age in the 70s.

burton did a wonderful job of presenting a serious batman movie

    however sholemocker

    returned to the overcampy style

and it was only Nolen who returned to the darker roots again

    which is for the best

  • ummm, no, much more serious, that is crack smoking speak. The Series is blamed for returning comic books to the campy styles of the 1930s, because people wanted more of that style.

  • read up on batman 'history'

the tv sereis is making fun of the comics. at the time the comics were light hearted and the show made fun of that. while the show was on the air the comics emulated the show.

and it is very true what i said about the show saving the comic and alfred's life.

  • "I don't pick up man. Man pick me up"

    LMAO!

  • ok sooo last episode :*( (tear) i love this series and if it went on longer it would have been even better (if that is possible) but this episode got me a little dissappointed because they treated it like just another batgirl episode so this is not one of the greatest with it being so short and everything like that to having the name "last episode ever" hanging over it lol ya i explained it weird but ya thanx for loading it anyway

  • great episode!

  • Thanks! Although I have to say, I find this episode a bit disappointing in that too many loose ends were left hanging-very abrupt ending, but I suppose that's how they did things in those days.

  • sorry about the missing moment with Batgirl and Alfred, that is the way the episode came.
