  • This guy is brilliant

  • ha my 3960x has 15mb of cache...i remeber when that was system ram not too long ago...

  • I'm not even studying computer science and this was very easy to understand. Brilliant!

  • @SalientK this is not computer science

  • @JSA19882007 Yeah, "Computer Science" isn't really a term I've ever fully understood, sorry.

  • Great Video!, Helped me with my assignment and much better than Wikipedia :P

  • fantastic explanation

  • Lots of cache costs alot of CASH$

  • This is AMAZING!

  • very good teacher. thank you for the video.

  • didn't no cache was sooo expensive D:

  • very good explaining=) very soon i will buy a cpu with 8mb cache memory:)

  • 6.26 he says RAM instead of cache i think. good description though

  • waaay better than my instructor!!

  • nice work..........

  • This is great, but it doesn't go into much detail :(

  • Excellent, I just enjoyed this!.

  • awsome!!

  • Holy crap ur better than my computer science teacher. He explained it to me, i was like WTF?!?! It took like an hour and i still didn't get it. Then i came a long thins video and got it in about 8 mins

  • actually such a good instructor so i can understand

  • this instructor is brilliant. He makes boring stuff really easy and enjoyable to learn.

  • Perfect instructor. If my tutor's were like that in school i would have learnt alot more. Excellent work

  • Pretty simplistic, but it's not really that bad of a breakdown .. but cache is much more important for storing recently used data from ram than storing instructions. You want to optimize towards data before you optimize towards code when it comes to intelligent cache utilization.

This demonstration is a pretty vast oversimplification of how to properly use a cache - and how you use it is extremely dependent on your specific goal.

Don't rely on this stuff in order to get into programming.

  • Extreamly, Incredible, Perfect Explaned!!

  • Wow very nicely done.

  • very good explanation. i learned a lot

  • A good example why you can't always believe what you've watched on the Internet. Many errors in this presentation. For example, 'cache is for commonly repeated calculation'? The speaker got confused with computation reuse or function lookup table. Explanation for why not to use cache as the main memory is misleading although he did slightly mention SRAM (vs. DRAM).

  • that is amazing every minute of video is amazingly interesting and explains each and every bit so good.. cheers

  • so well explained!!

    thank you for posting

  • good stuff.

  • nice, can you post more?

  • Looks like great training vids. Where can one buy the full DVD sets? The SmartLearn website has removed the buying options. Are they still in business?

  • Ismayeel bhai you are so nice, for posting those informative videos.

  • Awesome. I'm italian but I'm doing quite well with english: that guy is fantastic! I love the way he explain things... every school should be like that... we're sooo old in teching methods here in Italy!!!

  • Thanks that was explained with a lot more clarity than my class the other day.... Thanks

  • thanks

  • Programing is the best way to learn any aspect of computing. I started learning C in parallel with assembly. Assembly will give you exact knowledge of how CPU works. Then you can easely move to any OS especially something like UNIX or UNIX like sys. and others as well. For networking I recommend to study simple serial communication. You would be suprised how many people dont know what are the differences between P and S communication...

  • its amazing how many people take IT so seriously in school, and when you get working for a company, everyone tries to confuse you or put you and try to put you with problems that are impossible to fix, especially the customers, people are a pain in the butt.

  • nice.

  • man i vote this test and failed once,i really wished i knew about u postin this stuff a little earlier thats great, please keep postin
