She dropped out of school because school will always be there but Youtube won't? That seems backwards. And, a woman from London, I believe launched the beauty phenomena on Youtube. She got more views than the BBC, and her account is Panacea81 and her name is Lauren (and she is by the way, still in school studying beauty).
The thing about Michelle Phan vs. Elle and Blair Fowler is that Michelle just seems more genuine. And don't get me wrong I like Blair (and I am subscribed to her), not so much Elle, and I have to admit they get a little annoying but I just think Michelle is more grown up and has more to offer. @siliconsurf I completely agree with you there. School also offers networking opportunities as well. Many people choose to go to technical schools for more specific skills and certifications because it is more practical. If you decide to go to a university 30k a year is well worth it if you get a solid degree in Comp Sci or Engineering for example. I'm not going to disagree with school being overpriced and paying for a liberal arts degree anywhere is going to make it more difficult for anyone.
I just have to point out at how annoying and stupid the news anchors' comments are at the end. Esp the guy sitting in the middle, who is pretty much making fun of Michelle (or anyone for that matter) for being able to achieve some sort of success because of youtube. Such a douche :p

@akissy She had a chance and she went for it. Sure, it doesn't work out for most, but that's life. There's no guarantees even if you finish school. Do you know of any girls or teens who have dropped out of school and began filming themselves because of Michelle?
Life is full of things and people to be disappointed about. Maybe you would have made different decisions but, honestly, you have no choice but to get over it.

He also own Erabelle which Michelle did many commercials for. But their was some controversy because the service was no legal in the U.S. and also she didn't try the service. Craig Chiu is kind of a sketchy person and is just using Michelle's fame.
