@kyleighstew I hate to be the troll but usually its better to take a song's meaning in your own interpretation rather than looking for a definition of it. For me its about being riddled with depression, I'm assuming it was something very similar for DJ but it can be different for everyone.

As to whether you should do this song. Well you know that answer. I was on the Board of IBP when we produced a show called Speeding Motorcycle, an original rock opera based on Daniel's life. One of our leads, Cary Wainscott sang this song. He died of melanoma a couple of years ago. But he would thank you for the passion that you gave to the work, as would Daniel.
