@wirklichdoof If you are 21, then yes. At least where I'm stationed. Different bases have different policies, but for the most part if you are 21 then you are good to go. You can keep beer or wine in your fridge, but gotta lock up all liquor when you aren't in the room.

@mochadear06 You'll have fun. It all depends on your duty section leader. I turned 21 on a Monday when I was in A school (still got trashed and was hung over taking my final the next day). Also had duty that Saturday (worse day to have duty). I told my duty section leader and he told me "dude, just show up to muster in your uniform and shout out something that sounds somewhat like your name and you're good to go. We'll give you a late watch so you can sleep it off during the day". The Navy rocks

They would stay the whole duty day in the rack because they were special; less if they made it to muster on time! @Soulinsane Yeah there's a 1st class in my shop like that. How she made 1st is beyond me. She shows up late as hell, bosses everyone around, and then leaves early as hell. If I could give advice to anyone coming into the Navy it would be to keep in mind that just because you have a certain pay grade on doesn't mean everyone respects you. Its the amount of work and effort you put forward to help your shop and your people that determines who you are. A rank is just a patch. Some take it too far.
