Oh my god. You can tell the EXACT moment when he fell in love with her. He just MELTED when he saw her. He softened when he looked at her. To this day, I wished to God that they stayed together.
What endeared the public to max Cherry is that there is a little bit of everyone in Max- the person that does the grind every day, and strives to do good, and just make the big score. He wanted to help the woman he loved. Even if it meant doing something a little wrong. We got Max Cherry in that we subscribed to his boring life- felt sorry for him- pulling for him.
thanks happylumpi, you gave me the answer

Can I just say Quentin Tarantino was on POINT with the soundtrack, especially those Soul/R&B songs!!!

easily one of tarantino's best scenes ever. just in terms of simplicity as we see a man fall in love with a beautiful woman.

The sexual tension between these two is just incredible. Damn you Max for not going with her....

A beautiful scene. Forster should've won the oscar for this part.
