@iman854 Nope. The only wheels compatible with the Xbox 360 that I know of is the Official Xbox 360 Racing Wheel and the Fantec Porsche 911 GT2 wheel.
Other than that, there's no wheels compatible with the Xbox 360.
@stigemann1 i think the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick, is usable for an e-brake though, but for pc i think it would be only useful, since you can assign keys for it. but it cost round 30 - 40 bucks :/

They need to offer one for xbox 360 even though Im sure they make this wheel for the GT game series, which is made for the PS platforms. 360 has NFS Shift and Shift 2 which are high SIM racing games and deserve a wheel like the Longitech g27.

@Bmwm6340 You may be a hater of NFS, but Im not referring to all of their games. Shift was a SIM game w/ some arcade. So YES REALLY, I believe that it deserves a wheel. Shift 2 unleashed as well, perhaps. I haven't played that one yet. Shift was very focused in the territory of high performance. It wasn't perfect. Loading time was quite long, and the frame rate wan't always spot on. Also the car noises weren't all that authentic. Other NFS games are arcade and do not qualify for a wheel.

For instance people who may have driven Nordschlife or Leguna Seca in a video game are taken a bit by suprise when the conditions on the real thing are not what they expected. Tuning the cars in Shift is tricky. My Sti understeers and spins out after tuning. Its not easy to master tuning. My Carrera Gt is near perfect for my taste; nimble with a bit of slip so the ass swings out a bit. lol

As for th carrera, come on! does it have, 900hp? 1000? Some games, or better said , simulators, portray real life perfectly as far as its possible (you cant simulate g forces or similar thing). Try iRacing for example.... its as realistic as virtual driving can be with todays technology. It simulates everything, tracks are scanned with millimeter precision...cars are modeled perfectly, it even simulates body flex in cars...you cant expect realism from NFS.

@sidewaysonhighways The problem about NFS is that it sucks at basics. They focus on effects, graphics and stuff not important for racing games. In order to be great, a racing game needs 3 things: great physics engine + great controls + precise modeling of car PARTS - which is possible only if you have a proper physics engine which will be able to process an in-game car as a lot of parts being connected, rather than one lump of pixels with pre-programmed behavior, if you know what i mean.
@sidewaysonhighways Cars is NFS are just a bunch of pixels. The cars are pre-programmed. A car is programmed to react in a specific way when you go into a certain corner at speed of X with Y degree's of steering...etc etc. In iRacing for example, each car is MODELED extremely precisely. Its actually made of virtual mechanical parts, each of which react to other parts according to their characteristics and laws of physics. Cars react to enviroment in game, which is also precisely scanned.
@sidewaysonhighways Thats why when you play NFS, you feel disconnected, you dont feel what the car is doing, it feels artificial. It has crappy feedback. iRacing has absolutely amazing controls, very fast, very direct, you feel connected. Force feedback is also amazing. Its so great and so realistic that I can actually feel exactly what the car is doing even if i close my eyes when driving. You can LITERALLY feel every degree of a slide your car is doing , or every bump on the road.

@5FatMonkeys Who cares for aesthetics? I'd like to think that $500 goes into A) build quality, and B) performance and realism. Somehow I'm not so sure - Logitech looks a bit gimmicky and overpriced. Something tells me this kind of money would be better spent on a Fanatec or a Thrustmaster.
Thumbs up if you guys want Logitech to come out with a new Wheel to upgrade the G27 with power to the Gearbox, where it'll be locking certain gear shifts because your not shifting right... (ie. synchronizer can't synchronize ) pretty much getting Logitech closer to the realism... lol i get that itll only be able to be done with new games and such that will have the force feedback software to support it... but I'm saying it can be done... so Logitech, DO IT!

@boobie284 thats not exactly predictable but if it was optional then u would know the exact price range so based on a shifter price $50 that add on could $60 $80 or $100 therefor hitting the $150 price range but the material and design to resist that movement with longevity is going to cost more so its a minimum of $110+ and i guess $170 for it

@boobie284 well this is harder lol the mechanics involved i believe would use lots of load cells? didnt look into much what the load cells but i think they adjust the resistance as if ur using a brake and ur tires lock it will get loose or something jst forcefeedback so ya that could work but that would be really expensive with load cells idk i jst want logitech to make a handbrake and this lol

I think your cockpit will be too light. I mean material you use for build is very light and it will be moving while you will turn weel strongly. I think you should load it a little bit. But nice project :D
@01iamaprofessional Stop saying something cheap is "the best" available. Think about ECCI and FrexGP wheels, there is no way you can even compare them with g27 and GT3 RS.

@PossiblePoison Yes, for half the price u can get the Fanatec Carrera wheel. It is equally comparable, in some ways better, some ways not. Many fanatec wheels were better, especially there line of Turbo S wheels, that are permanently sold out for a little bit. I've had one for about 2 1/2 years, recently ordered the carrera while its still out and so cheap.
@BigRiggerJ mines lasted over 2 years slight problem with one wire bein bust from my doing but thats about it i can solder it fine but it still works anyway just dont plug it in while its plugged in the mains haha

And during that time my 5th gear stopped working, and no i was not slamming gears.. and my sequential wouldnt hold the gear either.. I enjoyed the wheel while it lasted but now that I am using fanatec products I will not go back to logitech unless they produce something amazing.
@elementwong95 yeah u do lmao serious i got a g25 which is basically the same just g27 has more butttons and don't have sequentional in the h-shifterr anymore but yeah if ur using a honda s2k that has a 7 speed on like gt5 then ur not gonna get past gear 6 unless u use the flappy panels haha

@realmike15 yea man its almost criminal what people are charging for these wheels ...and Logitech is part of the problem because they create the scarcity of the product and people are charging through the roof because you can't buy one from them.... when I bought my g25 I got lucky because I'm sure it was one of the last ones anywhere at local retail ...and less than 2 years later the same problem with the g27... I'd be happy to buy another g25 once this one wears out.... what gives

Logitech makes great products no kidding... but they don't seem to give a fuck about their customers .. there is a huge demand for these wheels and they really drop the ball making way for a a lot of competitors to take the cake ...

i checked amazon and other places for it and they have the stupidest prices ever($800-$900) if you go to the logitech site its $300 still pricey but i dont know whats with these other sites selling for more than the actual company

@5FatMonkeys Who cares for aesthetics? I'd like to think that $500 goes into A) build quality, and B) performance and realism. Somehow I'm not so sure - Logitech looks a bit gimmicky and overpriced. Something tells me this kind of money would be better spent on a Fanatec or a Thrustmaster.

Thumbs up if you guys want Logitech to come out with a new Wheel to upgrade the G27 with power to the Gearbox, where it'll be locking certain gear shifts because your not shifting right... (ie. synchronizer can't synchronize ) pretty much getting Logitech closer to the realism... lol i get that itll only be able to be done with new games and such that will have the force feedback software to support it... but I'm saying it can be done... so Logitech, DO IT!

@dacarfreak2000 well tbh honest, cant really take anyone's word for anything, its really dependent on driving style, because I actually saw a vid that someone likes the Evo more, since they can place it closer to their target apex and angle of attack... so haha :) anyways, gotta really be in it to actually decide, but I'll some day check it out.... :-) and see what you say is the same for meh :) thanks bro :)

I believe it would be higher for the fact that they would be one of the only ppl to have that (not sure if that is out correct me if im wrong please) and it wouldnt start mass produced :/ but cool idea anyway i jst ordered a G27! sending in my DFGT for $50 so take $50 off of $235 which i got the g27 :D

@boobie284 thats not exactly predictable but if it was optional then u would know the exact price range so based on a shifter price $50 that add on could $60 $80 or $100 therefor hitting the $150 price range but the material and design to resist that movement with longevity is going to cost more so its a minimum of $110+ and i guess $170 for it

@boobie284 well this is harder lol the mechanics involved i believe would use lots of load cells? didnt look into much what the load cells but i think they adjust the resistance as if ur using a brake and ur tires lock it will get loose or something jst forcefeedback so ya that could work but that would be really expensive with load cells idk i jst want logitech to make a handbrake and this lol

I think your cockpit will be too light. I mean material you use for build is very light and it will be moving while you will turn weel strongly. I think you should load it a little bit. But nice project :D

just like to thank you for taking the time to show everyone the workings of the G27 racing wheel.great review very thorough it looks a great wheel for sure I have the G25 and I really like it would prefer the wheel to be quieter and smoother like the G27 but can't afford to buy it.so G25 will definitely be staying LOL!!!...I do agree with you the Logitech G25 wheel (and the G27) are brilliant wheels ...the best I reckon :)

This wheels is great and i recommend it, but its NOT build to last. G27's and G25 have electrical shorting problems. The average lifespan is 2 years.

@PossiblePoison Yes, for half the price u can get the Fanatec Carrera wheel. It is equally comparable, in some ways better, some ways not. Many fanatec wheels were better, especially there line of Turbo S wheels, that are permanently sold out for a little bit. I've had one for about 2 1/2 years, recently ordered the carrera while its still out and so cheap.

@BigRiggerJ mines lasted over 2 years slight problem with one wire bein bust from my doing but thats about it i can solder it fine but it still works anyway just dont plug it in while its plugged in the mains haha

@mopasaurus Haha, i'm very glad to hear that. Mine lasted 2 years and 6 days. And during that time my 5th gear stopped working, and no i was not slamming gears.. and my sequential wouldnt hold the gear either.. I enjoyed the wheel while it lasted but now that I am using fanatec products I will not go back to logitech unless they produce something amazing.

@elementwong95 yeah u do lmao serious i got a g25 which is basically the same just g27 has more butttons and don't have sequentional in the h-shifterr anymore but yeah if ur using a honda s2k that has a 7 speed on like gt5 then ur not gonna get past gear 6 unless u use the flappy panels haha

#1 Xbox is for games #2 PC and PS3 are for simulations, so Ge a PC or a PS3 and get to actually use the good stuff.... not those cheap pieces of plastic that only has springs and axiss, here u get leather, the feel, and actualy CLUTCH! OMG! what a surprise.... and freaking response...... not just a vibrator for people who use it to jerk of.... go get a real simulation Console....
