I meet Glen hansard a coulpe of weeks ago in a pub in dublin, great guy. Me being a springsteen fan i asked him about this song!! He just kept saying "amazing tune"!!! This is true!!! Was really cool to meet him too.

Fantastic...Bruce Springsteen&The Swell Season..

Really really good. It takes a lot of talent (and courage & confidence) to cover Bruce Springsteen. He does pretty good versions of his songs, almost as if he has some how gotten inside the author's head.  And he's not a bad muscian, to boot.

But this is excellent. I love the violin and the second voice.

I'd love to hear you do a 1978 version of Backstreets, including the Drive All Night/Sad Eyes interlude that became it's own song on the River (1980)

That would be daring.

Beautiful !!! Please allow me to suggest this.... turn the echo in the vocals down a bit... it seems too produced for the "natural" setting , which is lovely. Also, let us hear the violin a bit more in the mix. Thank you for your music !!!

@angstbeforebeauty I can't say this for sure, but everywhere I look in this video there are concrete walls around them in the background - which would account for the reverb sound you're talking about. My guess is they picked that spot to shoot this video for that one reason - to reproduce the sound Bruce had on the album. I know I would like to do that in a local land mark that we have here. It's creative, very appealing, and best of all, cheap as it gets to produce.
