That green gretsch sound's amazing, never thought about getting one of them in the past, but I would love an old usa one, think they are get maid in the east now, so would have to buy an older one to get a USA one ?
@Joostieboy ...and @5:06 'I Feel Fine' by the Beetles. Jazz folks sometimes refer to this as "quoting" while your improvising. Greg drops some hilarious ones for sure.
What does he say at :33 "Perambulate around like a.....??"
Oh, and "John Dillenger's corpse right now is rattling with great vehemence due to the ramifications of this savage tone council" is one of the greatest sentences ever constructed and/or uttered by a human.
Also add in a shot of Smoke on the Water and Ted Nugent's Hey Baby! 2 really great guitar players having fun. I could listen to these two for hours. And Greg cracks me up. He is like the anti Jeff Beck. He get's some weird stuff out of a guitar as well but off beat and funny. Sometimes he makes me laugh just when he does it. How does he improvise that screwy stuff that just seems to fit when he plays. Both guy are awesome. Thanks to Sw for posting this vid even though it's an ad
The latter song is a blues jam. There's stuff there I should be able to name, but I get what's going on, before it turns on the "Peter Gunn". It's the former that gets me. I recognize it. It's a great travis-picking thing. I've heard it done before. I just can't name it. Help?
I really like the playing coming from Paul, here, but I suddenly REALLY want to see a jam session w/ Greg and Carl Verheyen... That needs to happen =|
At any rate, so very cool, love both these companies, and thanks again for posting, Sweetwater!
I want both of these
