Cat gets mad - Growls when playing with his new toy

My cat does the exact same thing, and I thought it was cute too, until I found out that the cat is in GREAT distress, and that is why it growls or hisses. :<

I no longer encourage my cat to growl and hiss, I took away his toy that causes this, and I googled cat growling and got some tips that we can use to help prevent our cat from feeling this negativity, and to instead, be happy.

Good to know! Our cat is really happy. He just gets possessive at times but we got a new one of those toys and he is much tamer about it.
