Bunch of guys here were trying to explain me, that this was an intentionally exagerated scene of social evil(as if i didn't get it by myself), but what they didn't understood(or notice) is that the line betwen exagerated and absurd is very thin and in this exact scene was superated, that's why it looks so unnatural, even though it's supposed to look exagerated!

Although Robocop successfully critiques many aspects of what our society may look like in the future, i think this death was created for the violence factor. The whole movie is very violent and i think that verhoeven was trying to create one last death that would trump all the ones before it. he succeeded
