  • ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh the cure or shout of loud?????????????

  • I bought a copy of Howl Howl Gaff Gaff in a CD player at a yard sale. Never gave it a good listen... I might have to go find that CD, This sounds pretty decent to me. (I found this from a related video, "Are You Receiving Me" by XTC)

  • for those who can't find "play the game",paste this in your adress bar after "youtube.com"

    /watch?v=J71_mP0-e34

  • 32 viewers like justin bieber ¬¬_

  • Does anyone know if they're having a concert in Sweden this October? Thanks

  • If this guy had on some white foundation and black lipstick and guy-liner and his hair was longer and he multiplied his weight times, something like, 30 years of McDonald's, then I would swear that I was watching a new The Cure video. The Cure rocks...love 'em!

  • C'mon guys. They do sound very much like The Cure in this song. If that guy's voice sounded a BIT more like Robert Smith's, I could totally believe it was them.

But either way. The Shout Out Louds have got goddamn talent. So they sound like The Cure. I love The Cure! It ain't like it's a problem. And it's a completely original song, just with similar sounds. I really need one of these guys' CDs, like STAT.

  • As a rabid The Cure fan, I must say that calling Shout Out Louds a ripoff of The Cure is ridiculous. They have a similar sound in THIS song, and that's not a crime.

  • is this a cure cover band?

  • @diekontrolleure Jesus Christ. NO! They're no trying to sound like the Cure you dipshit!

  • they like very much at the cure

  • @articaapje like cross of inbetween days and high

  • Really tHE Cure wannabies, WTF!!!!

  • i like this song but the lead singer sings like sean connery

  • THE CURE?? WTF??

  • @hipaulette indeed, it sounds like

  • our ill wills is suvh a classic...i wish "work" didn't suck so bad

  • I let the playlist go and thought it was the cure singing. No it was not but it looks like!

    too much.

  • @olhosdeavela é do anúncio n é?

  • i had listen this sung by a girl nobody know the name of the music?

please i like very much of this music

  • tabem estou a procura, quando souberes diz

  • @jahcrab...

    he's swedish, not retarded...

@fendergambit... there most certainly is a cure sound... but the shout out louds are fun, and they definitely have their own niche... listen to more than just this one track...

    @whitman... i LOVE that line!

  • @djb82 the part where they sing "and you give love"...that doesn't sound like 'and you give and you give and you give your heart away" from U2's "With or without you"? Sounds very similar to me!!!!!! I grew up in that era so I think I know what I'm talking about.

  • @fendergambit it actually sounds more like freddie mercury n queen (under pressure)...but if you know enough about music, everyone sounds like someone at some point. good song!

  • He sings with a hint of retardness! Funny voice.

  • you write with a hint of retardedness. idiot.

  • This comment's hilarious.

  • this sounds like the cure

  • this is just flat out good music

  • it reminds me to the cure :-)

  • @MrSebuscape

me too, when i first heard it i really thought its the cure ^^

  • One of my favourite bands!!!!!!!

  • but it feels so much better now that its done, and tonight I have to leave it.

  • Shout out loudsw!!!

    The best band ever!!!

    Greetings from St. Gallen

    Switzerland!!!!

  • .I can't help but think that these guys were heavily influenced by the cure and U2.....They might as well make a cover

  • @fendergambit Wow wow wow.. U2? Okay The Cure maybe but no way they're anything like U2

  • why doesn´t he sing tonight, but "shunight" or so...sounds bad...

    although very nice song

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • Song is great for road trips, just awesome

  • Amazing Song !!!!!!......

  • def reminds me of the cure, thanks for pointing that out!!

  • Love, love, love it!

  • Love the vid but I prefer the indie band street session on wildscreenTV it's called They Shoot Music

  • love this song! its been ages since i heard it the first time & im so glad i found it :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

  • I love this song!!!

  • Great song!!

  • Who gives a shit who they may or may not sound like? Let the music speak for itself.

  • @Khooper38 Yes let the music stand for itself. But the ironic thing about that statement is that the music is such a rip off of an earlier band called "the cure". It's not there music...it's someone else's.

  • @fendergambit

I didn't know the Cure wrote this song. Coulda sworn it was on a Shout Out Louds record with songwriting credits to the Shout out Louds. Sure, his voice sounds a bit like the Robert's. But...so?

  • @fendergambit haha omfg, do you really hate this band, or do u just think that ur cool and know much about music when write this critical shit? Of course u have to get some inspiration before u can start a band or do music

  • aa rekordar es volver a vivir xD!!!

  • is not just the voice is also the beat what rememebr me so much in friday i am in love but anyway beautyful song

  • Seriously, I don't see the connection with the Cure. They are way better.

  • What a great blending of sounds coming from all sorts of instruments... It's very unusual now a days to hear and to see a band to make such songs and music... Right??? c^^,)

  • he sings like robert smith from The Cure, nice!!

  • that's exactly what i've always thought!

i heard them playing at the siestafestival 2007 and i was like "OMG WHAT IS THE CURE HERE WHAT WHEN WHY?!" haha

  • i think this is one of the best songs i know :D

  • i love his voice so much!

  • sounds so much like the cure

  • ya very very much ..mostly his voice

  • chilligstes lied ever <3

  • lol, this is NOT linkin park..

  • is it me, or do they sound a lot like the cure?

  • I never notished it until you shaid that, but now it'sh totally obvioush!

  • I'm so in love with their music

  • I only heard of Shout Out Louds and The Cure about a week ago. I've checked them both out now and Shout Out Louds are 10 times better than The Cure!!!

  • There are so many things wrong with what you have said here...

  • The Shout Out Louds are a really great band and this song is awesome!

  • good song. it actually might sound better with a young robert smith on the vocals

  • check out kleerup rmx of this song. dope!

  • makes me so happy=))))))))))))

  • sjukt bra!

  • the cure look like huge fags but there pretty good i like these SOL more because the instrumental parts r way cooler

  • es todo un temazo!!

  • i love this song but i think they shud have made a cooler vid. XD

  • 2nd

  • Love this song too but I think the video is absolutely wonderful.:)

  • Great song & I love this band but does sound like Goldmember singing on this one...

  • Great song!:) /Vari

  • conor oberst started a cure cover band. no, all joking aside, this is a pretty cool song. I still favor Howl Howl Gaff Gaff, but this is nice.

  • The best Cure cover? Come on. It is Cure. Not bad, but it's a Cure copy. Anyway, good song. I have two discs from them.

  • No, this is not a Cure cover.

  • I know. I'm Cure fan. When I said "It`s a cure cover" I was sarcastic. Anyway Shout... is a good band, but Cure is better.

  • this is in "what happens in vegas" :)

  • :o)

  • gosh, I thought it was the cure!!!!

  • jag ääälsar :D

  • Videon är grymt bra, bra tema till texten...

  • Imitation IS the best form of flattery - yes, I thought it was the Cure's last single too but I forgive them for trying! (How many people that still love that band is just fabulous!)

  • sounds like cure, i love cure! but sorry, robert smith is the best. great song

  • :o)

  • the singer looks exactly like Jason Schwartzman!!!!!!!! :O!

  • They sond like the Cure!

  • tell me tell me tell me how do you that trick......

    Cure Out Louds

  • then why listen to it? if you dont like it listen to something else dont just critisize good music because you dont like it

  • good band 'differant' hope they get bigger .why does radio 2 play them more then radio 1 ..... who knows ...

  • Thought it was The Cure!!! IT's excellent!!

  • I agree. When I first heard this song I instantly thought of The Cure. Infact, I thought it WAS them at first. I hated this song when it first come out but it's actually growing on me now. But nothing will beat The Cure. Not bad song though :]

  • video doesnt really match the song..

  • It's funny, when I first heard Shout Out Louds, I swore it a cheap knockoff of The Cure. After buying and listening to this entire album (Our Ill Wills), I don't hear the cheap knockoff anymore, I hear a band with a lead singer who has a typical Swedish accent when singing in English. *shrugs*

I wish they would make a video for their song "South America" which is by far the best song off that album.

  • please, listen to "in between days" from The Cure and judge yourself, this is a cheap copy... but sounds great!!!

  • very col music, stupid videoclip

  • I HEARD THIS SONG IN HOLLISTER!

    =D

  • omg...ive herd dis song so much over the past few weeks...an now i know its the shout out louds...an can i honestly say that at first i thought it was the cure....i ws pissd off wen i found out it ws these...i meen, how much do they sound like the cure??

  • Inbetween Days!

  • I'm enlightened. I love you all.

  • What's up Vorderman? Goat got yer fuckin tongue?

  • Cheers mate, whats a fucking croner you bastard son of a goat raping bitch?

  • Sounds like Robert Smith has had a stroke. This is a disgusting rip off, more than just using the cure as an influence.

  • cool

  • i not heard of these b4. hes got a rather annoying speach impedement

  • whats Cure or who?

    They are pretty good

  • Think this is awesome awesome awesome 2awesome for u haters

  • Dear amyparkin and pufftails, you must understand that music is not static and that bands usualy get inspiration from other bands... Then, comon people can have 1 out of 2 choises: Like the music for what it is and understand that inspiration has to come from somewhare; or be thick and just keep to the same tipe of music. The second choise is what many people do...

    Regards.--.

  • I've worked in the music industry for 15 years, I don't need a lecture about how it works. The issue with this song is it's too much like The Cure, take elements and move forward, evolve a new style, but this brings nothing new to the table. I said it's a shame because I genuinely wanted something good from it, it's catchy. I wait with interest to see what they do next. We're all entitled to our own opinions, that's the joy of music, there is no reason to get het up, I'm sure the band wouldn't!

  • Puff, you've at least twice dropped that you work in the industry and then say we're all entitled to our opinions. You just want to make sure we all know YOU think your opinion is more qualified... So how should this band evolve to a new style, as you put it? "New" like Fergie or the latest American Idol? I wish someone would tell your industry how generic the music it primarily pimps-out has become.. I do, however, agree that there's no reason to get "het up," as I'm sure Robert Smith wouldn't.

  • WhenenRome, I had only mentioned my work once, I believe that all opinions are valid if a person qualifies their argument, I was responding to someone else who just thought "dickhead" qualified their argument. Every decade has artists that evolve to a new genre, evolve doesn't mean use everything someone else does, you borrow elements. This track as others have said, is too much like The Cure, they may have well done a Cure cover, but as I said, I do look forward to hearing what else they do.

  • I really appreciate the patronage - didn't realize that, being a fan of, among others, Emil Gilels, Fela Kuti and Stina Nordenstam, I "keep to the same tipe of music".

Re your pompous and banal sermon on the dynamic nature of music - all very well, but the truly gifted artists, while stealing and borrowing, incorporate it all into a musical vision of their own. these guys are just don't have what it takes

  • For someone that doesn´t like this song, you come here often.

I really don´t think that you have what it takes to understand the style of this music... Keep to your Cure idols and stop making fun of new bands that star their carrier takin in influences.

Just a reminder, the Cure also had some influences, therefor they could be a rip of some other band. Remember that before you shoot your own foot...

I don´t meen to offend you in what i wrote...

    Cheers...

  • god you're funny. I love the accusations re me idolizing Fat Bob, nothing could be further from the truth, and the rest of your crap is right on the same level

sure Cure had loads of influences - Hendrix, Beatles, Beefheart, Nick Drake, Bowie, the list goes on. but when 10.15 came out everyone had the "haven't heard THAT before" feeling, cause it was a singular piece of music, incorporating familiar elements in a shockingly new fashion

  • keep patronizing me to your heart's content, I don't mind. being a barely articulate retard yourself, it's only natural for you to assume stupidity in others and try to enlighten them

  • well, when people start offending it means they don´t know anything else to say, therefore my dialogue with you stops here. I should of know better, radicals and extremists are all the same... Keeps to the Cure and be happy...

  • "I should of know" - LOL, two hilarious blunders that testify to your lack of command of the English language

I said a great deal more than (justifiably) calling you an inarticulate retard, you managed to find the easy way to quit on a superior note, congrats mate

Sure, I'll stick to The Cure, Brahms, Pixies, Kate Bush, Prokofiev, Schuman, Can, QOTSA, Tom Waits and Saint Etienne. you have fun with Linkin Park and whatever other oafish 6th rate bands you love. try good charlotte and oasis

  • Haven't you ever made a mistake? Well then you must be God...

An while you at ir you might as well get a life instead of finding videos to criticize on youtube... Don´t like this videos, just click on the cross on the top left croner of the window.

  • there is a crucial difference between making a mistake and showing zero awareness of the grammar of the language you're writing in

for sure I make mistakes aplenty, but patronizing people smarter than myself cause their opinion is different from mine never was one of them

someone sent me the link, I used the 'comment' option; someone replied to my comment - I went to this page and saw your pathetic reply, and posted my reply to it. whether you have a problem with this I don't give a shit

  • i wish people wouldn't start saying they're trying to copy the Cure, coz they aren't! the Cure may have been an inspiration, but it's different...

  • wow, this is totally shameless. 4th rate Cure, but the accent is hilarious, taking it into the *so bad it's good* territory

  • I thought it was 1st rate Cure!

  • A poor imitation of The Cure... but with a Swedish accent.

So much of this Cure influenced music these days but none of these bands hit the spot like The Cure. Shame... come on guys, if you're going to do it, do it well!

    ;P

  • Might be a poor imitation of Cure because its not an imitation at all dickhead.

  • Wow aren't we aggressive! It's a valid opinion from someone who works within the industry. They admit that The Cure are a very strong influence, but sadly this track is just pure Cure, I want to here more of who the Shout Out Louds are, and not who they idolise, and I look forward to it. I'm sure there is more to them, but I can still have an opinion on this track, as can you, calling me a dickhead is a little silly and childish and doesn't really bolster your argument.

  • I have to disagree with your overall criticism of Shout Out Louds being a ''poor imitation of The Cure.'' It shouldn't be a slight against them that they ''admit'' (it's not really an admission, it's a compliment) their sound is inspired by The Cure. In the face of overall CRAPPY music coming out of the industry (which you say you work for), it's actually refreshing to hear a new take on a classic sound. I'd easily welcome more new bands that did the same.

  • I would never be so silly to describe Fergie or American Idol as new, I despise mass manufactured music, I work mainly with British and European Indie bands and please don't lump me with a generic industry type, you don't even know what I do, I hate that side of the "Industry" as much as you!

  • buenos recuerdos a the cure,buen sonido ! great !!

  • GREAT SONG

  • Without coments

  • Visste inte att de var Svenskar!

    Didn't know they were swedish!

    Awesome song

  • WHO CARES!?

  • Du förmodligen

  • The Cure meets Life Aquatic.. in a Shout Out Louds sort o way

  • lo maximo este video y sobre todo la cancion y la letra sta rebuena

  • I want a Bebban-haircut and an Adam-boyfriend.

  • segue o que sentes ...

Não agora a sério: boa música ;)

    nice song :)

  • AWESOME!!!

  • shoshages

  • It is a Cure rip, as much as people want to argue otherwise. Same dizzy heights of plagiarism shared by The Hoosiers and Black Kids. At least a few years ago Hot Hot Heat and Stellastarr* had some subtlety - they may have borrowed Bob's voice but were kind enough to not rape In Between Days.

I'm here to try and here if this guy has one of those speech impediments that sound like too much saliva between the teeth and cheek.

Hearing him sing 'egshachkly' makes me want to hear him do 'sausages'.

  • I totally agree with you. This has cure written all over it.

  • shout out louds also sounds like bright eyes sometimes.

  • except that the shout out louds have been around longer then bright eyes... soooo, urrr dumb.

  • OOHH I'M SO SORRY! im now going to comment on a bright eyes vid that he sounds like shout out louds sometimes!

oh and thank you for telling me i'm gay. i'm very proud of it.

  • i was actually calling someone a few comments below you gay. and i like gay people. i meant gay in its original "happy" sense.

  • "mzungu420 has replied to your comment", that's you right? "uh, you are gay."

  • i do think this song defiantly sounds like the cure.you can tell they are a big influence. the rest of their songs sound less cureish though.

  • Yea, I'm sorry but this sounds nothing like the Cure. Neither does anything else on their album. If you make the comparison simply based on it's retro-new-wave sound... then a lot of new bands "sound like" the Cure; Coldplay for instance... This just happens to be the Swedish Pop sound! And I, for one, LOVE IT!

  • Not really sure why a comparison to The Cure is incorrect, or even a bad thing. The similarities in chord progression and rhythm are definitely there and you can tell they have definitely had an influence on the Shout Out Louds music. For example, the rhythm in this song is reminiscent of "In Between Days".
