Apparently air 'scatters' shorter-wavelength light (i.e. the red end of the spectrum) more than the high end(blue), so the sun's white light comes through the sky looking blue. So the sky is probabaly clear in all honesty. Hence, you can replace "The sky is blue" with "The sky appears blue". At the end of the day though, it was just a joke ¬_¬
