@alhabbo And in truth, the original Arabs were black. Lisanul-Arab says it over and over again. The Arabs of the prophets day (Salla allahu 'alayhi wa sallam) were a majority black people. So some Arabs in Sudan are mixed but some are not and it is just asumed that they are because they are black. But lighter Arabs are actually the mixed ones. True Arabs can only be black.

@alhabbo If the origins of man was well known, then we would never want to consider ourselves as 'arabs'. The arab race came about by the lepers from europe wanting to mix with africans for their own survival. They could not live in the sun, were sickly and could hardly reproduce and would become extinct if they could not reconnect with gods people. @doox420 north sudanese and arabs to their north mixed and inter-married during the old days as a result of which many north sudanese identify with "arab" and "arab culture". north sudanese, in general, tend to be a little bit lighter than the darker skinned southern sudanese people(not all of em). al jazeera did a good report on them. check it out.
