My brother used to have a battery operated mower and very sparse lawn. I can't imagine this thing having enough "oomph" to cut a lawn that's thick. Around here, we need to mow every 3-4 days and it's pretty hard cutting. I'd imagine with this thing, if it's anything like my brother's electric mower, it'd have to cut the lawn every day and wouldn't get through the entire cutting on one charge.
@arpschneider Hi thanks for the query. In actual fact this machine has an amazing amount of "OOmph" - the motors are rated at an equivelent to 5.5hp. There are videos on Youtube showing the machine ploughing through very dense/thick grass with no problems. This machine is also quite happy to mow every day if necessary - if will do that automatically if you wish even when you are away. The machine can mow for 2.5hours every day and once in a cycle your lawn will maintain its length.
@arpschneider Electric motors of a given size will always have much more torque than a similar sized combustion engine. The torque is instant as well no need to rev up. Think about a car's starter motor.
electricity is made from environmentally unfriendly processes. in fact, transforming it to energy in the battery is more environmentally friendly than just having it run on petrol it's self
Unfortunately your comment makes no sense at all. It is proven that this machine is very friendly to the environment - it has no emissions, low noise and uses no oil. The battery is of course charged by electricity - but it only uses a tiny amount of power to trickle charge, and electricity can be generated cleanly by wind, solar and water power. Many thanks for your interest.
