just super glue the spider gears inside the center diff to both output gears which power the front and rear drive shaft then you have a locker center diff
to dirtnug5, i am a proud rs10 owner, i love it. what you are experiencing is what alot of my friends call "clod stall" from the old school CLOD BUSTER. The center diff is an open diff, which means it sends power to the easiest route. So if your rear tires are in a bind and your front tires are in the air, the front tires will spin all day. All you hav eto do to solve this is remove the center diff, split the diff case, you will see a gear with four small gears inside it, called spider gears.
how much longer are they goin to be sellin the back draft 3.5? i hope they sell it for another year or so and how much longer are they going to b selling the earthquake 3.5?
when it only spin two tires in though spotts , called "Clodstall" is normal for motor on axle crawlers with small (not so powerfull) ESCs. the tires with lower load spinns and the blocked tires dont spin.it was in the early days typical for the Tamiya "Clod Buster".
oh one more thing, maybe you can help, sometimes when it gets in a tough spot only two of the tires spin not all four. any idea why? ali maybe you can help too.

Very capable by the looks and looks the bizz. I brought an Acme and have had major problems like one of the motors deciding to run backwards. The front diff was clicking which turned out to be a missing spur gear carrier bearing from new! I like this one and it looks finished unlike the Acme 1.8 crawler. I love the full metal construction of the Acme tho and the ability to customize it but the one in this vid looks like it rocks right out of the box. Iron Side up! I'm off to find a new LHS :)
Nice toy - but for a few more dollars you can get something better with parts you can find at your LHS (local hobby shop) - not mail order. I know Redcat is entry-level, this is not a "put down" - just want others to know to gather info. before you buy and waste money like I have int he past years- these small motors will be hard to upgrade. But then again, anything that brings people to the sport of RC is okay with me. "Keep Crawling 'til Yoy Make It !"
You are right. this is one of the best and very affordable rock crawler with 4 steering modes. Plus when you switch steering modes you can see it on radio display that which mode you are using. very helpful and its one little bugger that just want to climb up anything. I am going to post 4 new crawling videos soon. don't miss them :D
i like what i see i have been in nitro for 15 yrs and am wanting somthing new to do and so i am doing this it is fun but i would like to know is the truck diff lock or all time 4wheel drive. i can see that it is a nice truck and a nice remote do the servos need to be upgraded i find that they do with some of the trucks i get i like a 300oz servo but i like what i see and hope to get one and a 1/8 truck to get back to me plz nice video all of them
This one is an awesome Rock Crawler with 4 steering modes and I don't think you need to upgrade anything. It is not diff lock though, all time 4WD. I will have to confirm it though. I have Driven this one and 1/8 Super Crawler. Both did not disappoint me. they always manage to bring us a surprise and a smile on our face when we see them climbing up to something we did not even expect they will do :D
nice vid but i wouldnt do it myself i like to go max speed everywere bit of exitement but this is too slow and boring for me sorry if you like it and think im wrong but thats how i put it
Well sometime try to put your hands on one of our crawlers n I can bet you will be playing it even at home hehehe. just like I do. when I am doing nothing at home, I will turn on this little baby n start climbing the boxes at home :D
