@I3lack1000 umm lol? haha no offense but I've been playing wow since 2007, and I can seriously tell you that the graphics between WoW and LOTRO are not in any way comparable. LOTRO's graphics are smooth and allow most computers the ability to play on high quality at ease, while with WoW the graphics in a TON of places still look cartoonish. End of game wise I choose to stay with my one character and have fun, with wow I got bored out of my mind which lead to alts.

Who says wow has no good story? Warcraft did manage to capture many ppls attention with few early games with its storyline. LOTR is great in many ways aswell , even beats wow in many ways but apart from 1, wich is very important for me. WOW gives you freedom both on PVE and PVP while LOTRO focused on PVE and that is something gets bored after sometime. In the end there is so much to do in wow
WoW has a HUGE story behind it, i would say almost as big as LOTRO. If you have played warcraft, or read the books? If not i see why you would say, it is much more fun to play warcraft, read the books, THEN go to play WoW. I have 3 lvl 80s on WoW so i know whats going on in the game, when i started playing this, i REALLY liked it. The game isn't processor heavy so even bad computers can play this and deal with the lag. I don't have a high end computer so i liked LOTRO graphics wise better.

I have played WoW and LOTRO. Guess which one i keep playing?....LOTRO. The PVP might be bad i know. but the Game and story BEAT WoW 100/1. Wow has no good story. My guess is that you will prefer WoW. LotRO is great, but the PvP isn't as good, and it is pretty easy to level up. If you like the books, then being "in the story" is great.
Yes - that's probably the best part of the game. It's based on Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and the main story-line is that your character follows just behind the fellowship. Currently, the game is in Moria, just after the fellowship passed through.

Depends on what you mean. There are events where the game company (developes and such) will enter the world as special creatures, and attack. There are also scripted events.
Lotro is made up of books and chapters where they send ure character do diff places in tolken story so u ppl are always in diff places so not mouch of the company events ingame but thers lots of stuff to do in the story

no, not what i know of, you can look but you probably wont find any, just pay for the full game for the best experience, its worth it this game is awesome
everyone is saying warhammer online is gonna flop like aoc and vanguard did. maybe warhammer 40k might be good but i doubt it. the only good mmo on the rise is diablo 3 and that wont be out for many years, so in summation lotro is the best mmo out right now.
This game is definitely worth a try if you like Tolkiens middle earth universe, if you don't then this game isn't for you.
As far as leveling comes it's pretty easy and goes much faster than you expect when you're doing the quests as most of them have storylines of their own.
You can be a dwarf, but only a male because there hasn't been a single female dwarf in the movies or the books :P
lol i8 remeber I was in a great big battle on WoW(WoW has bad character graphics they r so lame)I was a noob in a castle getting ready 2 fight in a PvP then the king started talking and these monsters popped up out of nowhere and I was running for my life luckily i was a druid and i changed 2 like a jaguar and I was about 2 escape when they all chaqsed e and killed me for tryin 2 escape lol

lol ye pretty much all fantasy films, books, games have had a massive influence from lotr, you cant blame wow for useing that style of lore. also, im not saying wow was original in in how the gamplay works in wow but id say most mmo's now try and copy the feel of wow, again you cant blame em tho, altho wow isnt perfect, gameplay wise, its as good as a mmo gets ^_^

Yes it did, Tolkien was the person who created "his" elves by making their language. Elves are from the beginning, small and nasty creatures. and (ofcourse) he didn't create dwarves, but he created the rough and bearded image of the dwarves..

I have played WoW and LOTRO. Guess which one i keep playing?....LOTRO. The PVP might be bad i know. but the Game and story BEAT WoW 100/1. Wow has no good story. You can follow the books and movies in LOTRO and you basicly know whats going on. WoW is good but LOTRO has a legacy to follow for generations.

My guess is that you will prefer WoW. LotRO is great, but the PvP isn't as good, and it is pretty easy to level up. If you like the books, then being "in the story" is great.

Yes - that's probably the best part of the game. It's based on Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, and the main story-line is that your character follows just behind the fellowship. Currently, the game is in Moria, just after the fellowship passed through.

Depends on what you mean. There are events where the game company (developes and such) will enter the world as special creatures, and attack. There are also scripted events.

the races are: elf, man, dwarf, and hobbit (hafling).
the classes are: champion (fighter type), guardian (tank), loremaster (caster), burgler (rogue/thief), hunter (nuker), minstril (healer), captain (buffer).
this game is unique in that you gain exp from doing quests rather then killing mob after mob 4ever.

This game is definitely worth a try if you like Tolkiens middle earth universe, if you don't then this game isn't for you.
As far as leveling comes it's pretty easy and goes much faster than you expect when you're doing the quests as most of them have storylines of their own.
You can be a dwarf, but only a male because there hasn't been a single female dwarf in the movies or the books :P

lol i8 remeber I was in a great big battle on WoW(WoW has bad character graphics they r so lame)I was a noob in a castle getting ready 2 fight in a PvP then the king started talking and these monsters popped up out of nowhere and I was running for my life luckily i was a druid and i changed 2 like a jaguar and I was about 2 escape when they all chaqsed e and killed me for tryin 2 escape lol
