We should never hate others or even wish or bring harm/death upon them for whatever race, religion, form of belief they may have or food, music they may enjoy listening to or even the activities they part take on. We are all different none of us are exactly the same and that's what makes every one of us unique. We can changed this world!
It's inspiring the amount of patience it probably took to sit there and listen to people justify segregation and racism and you have to make a logistical argument against something that is an idiotic system.
Clearly these questions were meant to try and trap or contradict Dr. King and the entire movement. It's sad, but to be honest, not all that surprising.
That last questioner knows that white people in those days felt superior to blacks and therefore wouldn't be caught dead in a black church. This is the racist tactics that some whites (even today) have tried to use to confound black movements and organizations. It was white men who systematically (by law) segregated every institution so that blacks had no choice but to build their own institutions. That was a typical devil white man question. Very stupid.

Sadly, our nation says they don't want segregation and racism, but it does not understand the deeper principle that if we don't actively educate ourselves and fight racism with a stronger force-as this man does- it will continue to exist in our nation. Racism must be not only removed from our laws, but from our hearts. We must not only tolerate, but we must love.
it blows my mind that this nation took so long to open their eyes. I mean, I don't believe this generation or any other was "smarter" than that one, so how could we allow such injustice for so long?! And the fact that MLK and others like him could see beyond their times and fight (with their lives!) for everything that we enjoy and even take for granted today is simply a miracle. I'm forever grateful to my forefathers.
