@SuperPitbullMan The thing is, matte paint gets damaged easily, and if you have this you can take off the effected parts of the car and replace it. Plus this only cost like 2-3k

@SuperPitbullMan The thing is if you think about it, vynal wrapping has a lot going for it. You can drop your car off in the morning and pick it up before lunch. Your original paint on a high end car is magnetically bonded to it and you will never get a better paintjob. If you don't like the color you can take it off. And for gumball 3000 cars, they can put a bunch of stickers on it and when they are done, take it off.

Why? Installation is super easy. have a friend help lay it flat. and it protects the original paint so it helps overall resale value rather than have a paint job that somebody would have to spend alot of money to repaint for resale value. and, it costs much less because you can install it yourself. all in all, the vinyl is the way to go.

Of course you can paint a car a matte colour. Look at all the Lamborghinis that come from the factory with matte colours. Mercedes offers a matte silver on it's AMG vehicles and Aston Martin also offers a selection of matte colours. It's just a lot cheaper to wrap a car than it is to paint it. Plus, if you decide you don't like it, you can easily go back to the factory colour.

Even if it is cheaper and more practical, just knowing that my "paint job" is really just a sticker ruins my whole mindset. The GTR is a classy, 100% refined racing machine. Doing a mickey mouse, cut corner aesthetic enhancement such as this ruins everything. Maybe on a Civic, but not a GTR.

no, this is a vinyl (sticker). some people actually pony up and get it painted matte black. its risky because you need a good painter that knows what hes doing so it will finish nice.
