i am professional dressmaker and i can say this girl did a beautiful top. of course this is not an Armani style finishing etc, but for amateur this is great. plus it is so easy to follow her steps, even for people who never sew before. how ever should be finishing touches taken into consideration, because this top will be ruined after few days of wear.

My machine came with an overcast foot and a side cutter, but I have no idea how to use them--or even what size/type needle or thread to use with this type of fabric. Is there a suitable material that *won't* unravel if you leave it unfinished?

If you could just offer some search terms to point me in the right direction that would be great. (: Thanks!
