  • The music sucks

  • do i glue the magnet so it doesnt fall out ??

    please answer :(

  • what gage wire did you use

  • @maxxw50 22AWG

  • @J07C24S88 where did you buy it...what type of shop?

  • Fuck your music.

  • Might as well throw it out it wont last long.

  • Good video. Terrible sonng

  • WTF lol bass on this music and i have a 75watt subwoofer

  • I have a question ........ WHY!?

  • where did you get the magnet and how long is the coil wire

  • and this has magnet? or single coil

  • what is the membran made of?

  • what gauge did you use

  • what the diameter of the magnet ?? in cm

  • what size / pull force neodynium magnets did you use? also, what was the setup for your magnets? for example: from the bottom up, was it -magnet- -coil with neo magnet inside of it- ?

  • @scr34m1ng The size was 1.5"x1.5" pull force:215lbs. The neo magnet was inside of the coil and the bottom of the coil was rested at the middle of the magnet. The coil was also 1.5" tall too, so 3/4" of both overlaped each other.

  • do i have to use foam?

  • Man, I love your videos... How did you make it look so good?

  • respect

  • hey do you need the aluminum can under the voice coil? i just wanna build my own sub but i want to get things straight so i know what to do :D

  • no plans for us to download?

  • where do you get the coil.....

  • @yazzry he clearly made it in the video

  • what song???

  • do you put this in your car?

  • @DIENAMICProductions Yea I did for a week untill the gorilla glue melted.

  • @J07C24S88:

u could have made it last longer!!! XD they sell high temperature kapton formers or kapton tape to make your own voice coil formers.

and pro pa speaker companies like beyma sell high temperature voice coil glue.

    otherwise really nice build.

  • @J07C24S88 Use JB weld, it holds up to 600 degrees F.

  • @J07C24S88 JB weld works great for that.

  • whats the cone made of

  • What material did you use to build the structure with?

  • there 1 thing i have 2 ask u were du u get those big neodimium magnets from

  • @PYRoMONKEY56

    magnet4less (dot) com

  • @J07C24S88 do u have any plans u cood huk me up with ive been wanting 2 make a sub u kno that works just lyk urs

  • @J07C24S88 are neodymium the only kind that works?

  • @ihitatree They are the only ones that are strong enough to work decent without top and back plates like real subwoofer motor.

  • @J07C24S88 : one thing i didn't understand that : the magnet we'ave to put it inside the tin or make a hole in tin and line up magnet in bottom?

  • yo does it have to be copper wire can it be a peice of copper pipe with wires connected? im gonna make one please answer soon!

  • @hedshotnig If you are asking that kind of question, don't even bother trying to make one. Too much involved and it would be much cheaper to buy a sub already made. It'll sound better in the end as well. Start with building a proper box for a sub.

  • you have way to much time on ur hands.

  • how do u create the ohm stable voice coil desired?

  • hey what exactly defines the voice coil as 2 ohms? in other words what would have been done differently for it to have been 4 ohms?

  • u need mor copper string round the base then

  • haha that is soo tight. rubber bands. genius

  • haha you think white girl by young jeezy and USDA is shit man whats wrong with you this shit is the lows that destroys your subwoofer

  • That dirt bag song sucks. Say it to my face and jet a razor face.

  • whats the basket made of?

  • I can tell you were to get high temperature kapton film/ kapton coil formers from if u want to know....

and other parts like the donut shaped magnet ceramic used for speakers.

  • tht is awesome

  • young jeezy: white girl

  • thats actually sweet basket design

  • the name of the song????

  • You used a bicycle tube for the surround? Every time I attempt to rebuild a woofer the coil always scrubs pole piece.

  • Song name ? Pls

  • very beautifol

  • You can make a cheap effective subwoofer easily.

IF anyone has a cheap Dell subwoofer for their computer, go out and buy a 30$ dual subwoofer, unscrew the little cheap computer sub, and hook up the positives and negs to the right ones. Then you have a nice ass Subwoofer.

  • yes there is all kinds of wire... but 0.5mm is a bit too thick already. 0.4 mm can take about 350W RMS, 500 peak. that should be enough, you'll likely have other things to deal with before power handling becomes an issue.

to wire for a desired rating you have to count the number of turns... if you don't have a winding machine w/counter forget about it (or build a winding device). it'll work out by itself. a ~2cm tall coil with 4 layers is gonna have somewhere around 4 ohm anyway.

  • thanks so much and 350 watts rms is good enough

i have been looking for this information for this info for soo long

    how do i layer it?

  • how would i wire one for 4 ohms?

  • very nice cant wait to see the finished product

  • whare can i find wire like that?

  • almost every electronics store carries it. try radio shack and such.

for a 12 best is 0.4mm. for better treble reproduction you could go for 0.3 but it'll handle less power.

@ J07, man i'm glad to see a vid by you again. i've been trying to recoil a couple subs that i found, but i managed to break the coils while testing coz i was using paper as the former and i couldn't manage not to bend it slightly while building the coil, which ruined its strength. lesson learned, use aluminum.

  • is there a 0.5, if there is would it work, just wondering

    but thanks

  • Woah, that looks different from your other ones... what'd you use for the surrounds and where'd you get the magnets?

  • Yeah. I used a bicycle tire innertube for the surround.

  • OK, thanks! : )
