  • Shirt is so sick.

  • Why is it these guys get to listen to the boss in the gym and our shit is stuck on the Pulse on Sirius? Oh, dude in the vid is a bad ass as well.

  • Does anybody ever actually sit in that thing?

  • NICE dude. Good job.

  • I get creepers out the gym... To many vain closet case wierdos... What's with the piano music?

  • @shakeri84 You don't have to be an expert to give an advice on that...

  • Born To Run, IN A GYM. Hell Yeah!!! Bruce Springsteen Rules

  • @shakeri84 It isn't hard to give the wrong advices.

  • rock that jr barthel shirt xD

  • Not that big of a deal bro

  • This is what I call some prime trolling videos.

All you have to do is suggest that the person in the video has no idea what's doing when he obviously does and wait for some meat head to spring the trap.

  • Springstein

  • lmao 5 plate

  • Putting a techno beat on this vid would be pretty funny, looks kinda like you're dancing

  • @TrollingYourButt don't say that, you'll anger techno viking, he will eat this guy... for lunch I mean

  • Poor form, he keeps bouncing when doing a rep...

  • @shishywonka U are a useless kunt what would u know about bodybuilding?? i bet ur one of those skinny nerds at the gym that wears a singlet even though ur fukin tiny.

  • Im gonna hate for one big reason. I can do that much weight and Im 17. Ask me to post a video? Ok, let me renew my gym membership first.

  • dude that shirt is badass

  • >exhales when he releases

  • Do close grip cleans instead

  • big

  • springsteen

  • try doing it without straps

  • @richard1948benz why? he's trying to work his traps not his grip strength

  • @richard1948benz that sounds about right. As you can see by this video he was clearly working out his forearms.

  • straps again? There's no bodybuilder with grip strength. Strongman competitors. That's the way to go. Real strong people by nature. These barbie doll foumy looking midget bodybuilders wit T-Rex arms don't understand what does it mean to have strong tendons and ligaments. Such a fake sport.

  • @m5p944

try to train like a bodybuilder and you´ll know that it´s at least as hard as strongman training

    dumbass

  • @Diamond14Jim88 There's nothing like 100 feet car walk with 1000 pounds on your back. Bodybuilding training is walking in the park compare to strongman training. Period!

  • @m5p944

both types of training are hard, and when you´re a bodybuilder you also have to watch your diet, and believe me, this is fuckin hard

  • @Diamond14Jim88 You're right. I know this part very well. We're just eating as much as it gets. To be able put down 10000 calories from clean food is something very hard to do and very expensive at the same time. I'm 6'7" 320 pounds and I'm about $400 per week worth of groceries. Just plain sick. Evere now and than my body needs break because I can't take it anymore.

  • @m5p944

but you also use things like weightgainers to get to your calories right? otherwise I think it ain´t possible to consume that much calories...

of course it´s expensive, also as a bodybuilder you have to spend a lot of money and time in eating and training.

I totally understand and agree that powerlifting is hard, but bodybuilding is so too, just in another way

Bodybuilders and Powerlifters both love the iron, sweat and the pain, that´s what it´s all about isn´t it? :D

  • @m5p944 I second that. Strongmen are the shit!

  • @m5p944 That is a short sighted statement. A) Strongman competition actually started with bodybuilders if I remember correctly so insulting todays bodybuilders is silly since without the bodybuilders, no strong man competition for you. B) Strongmen don't cut weight, they just eat, bodybuilding has a cutting phase which is EXTREMELY hard as its unhealthy to lose the amount of fat they do. C) You're 320, 6'7......so? For all we know, you are fat...my judging remind you of someone? LOL

  • @syphe101 you mean without strong man comp, no bodybuilding comp for you. You should know that strong man comp were here since Louis Cyr era. Loooong before any bodybuilder show up on stage with shaved legs. If you think eating 20000 kcal per day is easier than BB diet than you have no idea what you're talking about. I'm 330 and 6'7' but not fat. Sure my body fat level is way higher than BB on stage. My belly is way smaller than Kai Green's or Ronnie Coleman' pregnant look.

  • @m5p944

Two things: the sport of strongman started in the 70s or 80s you dolt; Louis Cyr is NOT a sport strongman. He was a stage strongman. There's a big fucking difference. And the first bodybuilder was Eugen Sandow, which makes bodybuilding incredibly old as well; however, bodybuilding as a competition has only been existent since the 30s-40s, when it was mixed with lifting.

  • @Draykid i thumbs upped your comment simply because you used the word dolt. youre awesome.

  • juice

  • impressive and a lot of weight but that's not at all how you do shrugs

  • Comment removed

  • you sir, are a beast

  • I like the ANIMAL shirt !

  • Thats the life, doin shrugs while listenin to the boss

  • i must have a really strong neck, because im not even close to as big as this dude, and i do shrugs on that machine 410 sometimes more, depending on how im feeling for 20-25 reps, and shrug 100s - 110s for 12-15 reps and i dont use lifting straps

  • i must have a really strong neck, because im not even close to as big as this dude, and i do shrugs on that machine 410 sometimes more, depending on how im feeling for 20-25 reps, and shrug 100s - 110s for 12-15 reps

  • @Shawndakilla

Post a video, otherwise you're full of shit.

  • ||DUDE your friggen HUGE!!!! but your face is just hilarious, its hard to make faces though with shrugs

  • good form man iv seen heaps of heople lifting heaps of weight on shrugs and doing half reps

  • this is sick, im 245 and can only do 225 about 10 times on a good day! ha. good lift man

  • that machine is the shit. i wish they had that at my gym

  • Juice bag.

  • you can get a workout from just lifting those plates up lol

  • 475Kgs, not bad.

I've just started using that machine and i can only do 240Kgs x 15 reps. due to a bad back and not being able to start the lift motion. I should be able to get up to 10 x 20Kg plates either side. The problem is, the machine we have can only fit 10 plates in total on each side. Your machine must be bigger.

    Keep up the good work.

PS: You are ten times the size of me, maybe try and lift heavier.

    Cheers.

  • you're a beast... oh I mean, ANIMAL :-)

  • holy crap ,..that looked good bro

  • i love the Hammer Strength man.. keep it uploading!

    From chile

    Gym lovers!

  • yup you're a beast.

  • you biig. well done!

  • i don't understand the dancing around movements... just shrug the weight. if you have to "throw it" up, then you're not lifting the weight, and probably need to go down in weight..

  • @revskull yea all that leg movement isent helping him, he should go with less weight and he would still be big. but jumping up and down thats cheating with your legs

  • Y the hell r assholes talkin about pointless fighting ona workout vid?? Stupidity at it's best! Btw keep up the gud work bro

  • Hardbody what ethnicity are you??

  • American.

  • your shirt says it all

  • Why all the hate? This dude posts a shrug video...and haters want to fight him?? Who cares??

    WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIFE!!

Why get all upset about people that you will NEVER meet??

  • @royalty315 totally agree, people talk so much shit, if this guy offered them a fight they would run a mile, people get so jealous.

  • good weight, but lets see a drop set on that shit. really fuck it up

  • lol its better than wasting time playing video games like you bitch

  • The point is that lifting is not a waste of time at all.

  • Given a person who devotes much time and energy to the pursuit of goal X, ask yourself this: If he/she had to devote most of his/her time and energy to satisfying her biological needs, and if that effort required him/her to use his physical and mental facilities in a varied and interesting way, would he/she feel seriously deprived because he/she did not attain goal X? If the answer is no, then the person's pursuit of a goal X is a useless activity.

  • From what I understood in your reply, I can say that engaging in the great majority of recreational activities do not serve a biological purpose. I personally remember that I would play video game for countless hours, while, in my opinion, it was neutral in terms of its potential harm or benefit to me, this activity took immeasurable time out of my life. Lifting however, in moderation, does provide physiological longevity and therefore serves a biological purpose.

  • If we want to dabble into technicality and nihilism, we can argue that absolutely nothing we do in life serves a purpose since we lose it all through death in the end lol Certainly somethings we engage in preserve us while others destroy us in the process however. From my personal account, I can tell you that lifting has kept me from massive episodes of depression and from taking out anger and frustration and others whom I felt had trespassed me in some shape or form.

  • HardBodyNyC, why do you think its a waste of his life for him to be at the gym? It is what he enjoys doing and its a healthy life style that is good for the body and mind. What about all those people that waste their entire lives engaging in destructive behavior such as alcoholism and/or drug addiction?Or people who do nothing, but waste their money on hedonistic pleasures such as partying all the time? Or the people who put their health in peril by working extra hours for a bigger paycheck?

  • comin from the overweight kid eating a twinky that spent 10-20 years of his life infront of a video game

  • comes from a weak person there hardbodyNyc, you most likely have spent 5-10 years of your life on electronics, which is 10 times worse then being in the gym. oh yeah and tell that same comment to this guys face

  • Cmon you and him both were picked on your ENTIRE life and even still to this day you probably don't even know how to throw a punch.

You can shrug 400 lbs, you can bench 500lbs you can squat 1,000!!!! No matter how much you work out, If I get that one good hit on your jaw you're done.

You can work out all your muscles, but you can't workout YOUR FACE.

  • I pretty sure a guy that can bench 500 can knock your ass out

  • I'm pretty sure he can know YOU out. I don't give a fuck how many pounds you bench, you're face/jaw doesn't get tougher from working out.

"If sized mattered then the elephant would be the king of the jungle"

    -Anderson Silva

  • @HardBodyNyC

true, however with massive weight/muscle gain, your entire musculature increases and bone density, you cant honestly say that a 130 pound weakling can take a punch as good as a 200+ plus man, its simple physiology, part of the reason there is weight classes in every single combat sport

  • Doing shoulder shrugs is NOT going to make your face muscles stronger by any means.

Weight classes in combat sports? Look at Tommy morrison the boxer, that guy was in prime shape and still had a SUPER glass jaw.

Generally speaking your bones don't grow in your twenties, they stop growing at about 24 years old.

  • ray mercer showed how his jaw turned to sand

  • generally speaking its basic physiology that bones can grow right until the day you die. Not in length, but in width my little friend, don't just speak if you have no idea what your taking about. Little lesson hear, muscles pull on bones, the more often this happens, this ellicits growth in the bone, it's why people with osteoporosis are told to lift weights, it increases bone density. When you gain muscle, you gain bone density, they go hand in hand, not a theory, it's very basic science.

  • Yea I know, Jack LaLannes bones are so much stronger than lets say... Adrian Peterson.

Little lesson here, WORKING OUT DOES NOT MAKE YOUR JAW/FACE BONES STRONGER.

  • Why are you thinking about fighting on the subject of bodybuilding? You seem to think that people work out to make themselves look tougher and hope to be better at fighting, and if so then you miss the point completely. Has it ever occurred to you that these people do this to develop the physique that they want? If they cared about fighting they would be learning martial arts. It's just not important to them., especially if they have a gun, which would your fighting skills a rather moot point.

  • Why am I talking about fighting? HA

The meatheads that you seem to defend so much love to say that this guy can whoop my ass. I never initiated the subject of fighting and body building.

Nice try meat head. Always trying to take cheap shots and speak on things you know NOTHING about.

  • If your going to bash something that people like doing for no apparent reason, you better expect some back lash for that. Why did you even comment to being with? What did you hope to accomplish by talking down to someone who could care less about what you have to say? Talk about a waste of time. If you don't like it, ignore it.

  • Sorry, typo in 2nd sentence.

    *begin*

  • @HardBodyNyC lol such a tool, ever thought he likes bodybuilding? and isnt trying to act tough? when i look at your comments all i see is JELOUSY

  • I'm a tool? Ha how much did you PAY for your gym membership?

JELOUSY, nice spelling meat head. Quick, what' TWO PLUS TWO?

    Hint it's not 5

  • Rofl typical douchebag correcting spelling on the internet. There is no price on good health, I'd spend 1000 dollars a month if I had to to not end up like you. Some jealous fatass sitting behind his computer, talking shit because he got beat up in high school. 2 + 2 is more friends then you'll ever have. Oh and even UFC fighters go to the gym, a lot. I do MMA myself, what do you have to say to that?

  • Oh please. I'm in better shape than 85% of people in the WORLD. I have mild acne and that's about it.

I'll out run you, out swim you, out box you, beat you in handball and I GUARENTEE my pipe game is better than yours. The only thing you can probably do MORE than me is waste endless amounts of time at the meat factory... I mean gym.

  • That's not an impressive feat, especially since 50% of North America is obese, and a large number of people are starving to death.

Tell me why handball is any better then lifting weights? I'm game, swim 50 meter freestyle sprint, post a vid as a reply to this video, and I will too then. Let all these people see you get destroyed. Let them see the product of a lifetime of video games and shit talking without having to back it up.

  • I dont see any video reply, first time someone calls u out and u dont back it up? Your parents must be so proud of the failure they abandoned

  • At first I thought the music in the backgroun was a WWF entrance lol, Good job.

  • good job (thumbs up)

  • lol more like 10 thumbs up, can you be anymore modest

  • who the fuck does shrugs sitting down?

  • Try doing them sitting down, if you dont have such a machine in your gym, use DB's, I like to do both sat & stood, as I get a different type of contraction from them both

  • @joeshmoe2000 Seated shrugs? people do them!

  • @joeshmoe2000

he was standing you Muppet lol

he was leaning against the backrest

  • @Jordan225x - LOL, I know that, chief. Click where it says "see all comments" and you'll see I was responding to a poster right above me named MarkThrall. This was before YouTube started using the @ symbol when you Reply to a post. Notice the post was made over a year ago.

  • @joeshmoe2000 my guess is people who want to fully isolate their traps and not use any legs to help move it up.

  • @joeshmoe2000 who the fuck cares

btw his ass isnt even touching the chair?

  • Comment removed

  • @joeshmoe2000 i dunno if u noticed but he stood up

  • @joeshmoe2000 he isnt sitting down

  • @joeshmoe2000 You are a fucking moron. He isn't sitting down get your damn eyes checked i can't believe so many people gave your idiotic comment a thumbs up

  • @meridiand No, you're the moron. Click on where it says "see all comments" and you'll see I was responding to a poster named "MarkThrall". And because my comment is at the top of the page, I have to explain this shit every other fucking day to guys like you.

  • @joeshmoe2000 why bother responding in the first place then?

  • @joeshmoe2000 this guy does, who shrugs 10 times your bitch ass

  • @Pawlak85 #1 - no he doesn't, he does them standing. #2 - I was responding to a poster that insisted he should do them seated. So I was actually defending the guy in the video. Fucking idiot.

  • @joeshmoe2000 Big mf's like this guy.

  • @joeshmoe2000 to avoid cheating

  • @joeshmoe2000 to avoid cheating, if you are sitting you dont use your legs....moron

  • @gibby5335 he's standing......asshole.

  • @MikeDunn i replied to the guys comment asking who does shrugs sitting down, turn your brain on before you comment dummy

  • @joeshmoe2000 people who do shrugs sitting down....

  • @joeshmoe2000 is he sitting down though ? ...

  • it fucking does make u look strong

  • lovin the shirt

  • I love doin shrugs on that machine except i like to stand the other way so i can realy squeese back and hit the middle and lower trap. Do you every do it standing reverse to what you are doing in the vid?

  • I also hate this machine. The movement feels so weird and restricted on it. You can see it on the video! I tried it reverse, and it's a little better, but I just stick with heavy dumbbells and straps myself.

  • I find this machine effective for this movement however it is primarily designed for lunges and ground based "hack" squats. I also like the positioning of the higher handles as it is in a good spot for stiff leged deadlifts

  • @A550RGY It seems to me that traps have a quite limited movement range, so it might be better that the machine concentrates on that particular movement

  • @famouspork One of the problems with a machine like this is that it was engineered around some specific body size. There's no adjustment (only the seat adjusts, but he's not sitting). So if you're bigger or smaller than that exact size, you're not getting the designed workout and may even be putting your joints in harm's way. It's just a theory, but I just avoid that entirely by sticking with free weights for this exercise.

  • @A550RGY I agree, basically if you're not wide enough, you're going to have a harder time pulling the weight up and in the wrong form..had not seen it this way

  • Great! I love a good trap pump.

  • Same here. A great set of traps just makes a man look STRONG.
