Its crazy that how do you want it samples Quincy Jones's Body Heat song. LOL I don't know if it was accident or intentional but by Quincy wanting a piece of Pac this was a heck of a song to sample one of Quincy Songs on. LOL HOW DO YOU WANT IT? I wonder what 1st came to Quincy's mind when he gave permission to sample his song. LOL
So Pac really did the whole song and for the chorus...all they did was add KC & Jo-Jo on it. Which made it okay but this one is where 2Pac really tore shit up. I betchu anything if he took his sweet ass time making perfect ass songs he'd still be alive instead of being on the fast lane dyin in pain...now he's gone :(
R.I.P. 2Pac
he always made great songs
I like this one cause its calm and the other version wit jodicee its more loud
Routini, I have to disagree on with you on that. 2Pac sings a chorus on " They don't give a fuck about us" and a few more songs. And it sounds outstanding. So there're certain songs he can sing a chorus to. But the majority of his songs he's rappin because that's his thing.
i rem reading a interview about this, pac did this version first suge said it would sound better with a singer on it pac didnt agree they got kc and jo jo on it and pac loved the 2nd version better after he heard them on the hook .fact!
this must be the og with pac spittin the hook.. but to be honest i wish they left it like this on the album i know pac wasint a singer but still this shit is g'd up.. makaveli 4 life!
he prolly recorded the chorus himself and moved on to another song, the guy didn't spend alot of time on a song thats why he has some many tracks. KC and Jojo were prolly playing around, taking there sweet time while Pac was living in high speed.
this was a skeleton of the track, i think he was recording to see how it would ride on the track. i know based everything he came out with that that ultra-laid back chorus wasn't his intentions...peace

He sounds really bored and uninterested in the chorus, lol.
SuperChaos002 3 years ago 8
pac knew that a chorus doesn't make a song. he never spent much time on the hook
episiteDOTtv 3 years ago 4
Obviously not, but a bad chorus can ruin the entire song.
SuperChaos002 3 years ago 5
@episiteDOTtv it does nowadays sadly some songs just chrous
