I went to one of the Stones concerts at the Forum in '75 and I was underwhelmed.
Little did we know in '72 that they would degenerate to the point that they would have Billy Preston on stage with them...and let him sing "Will it Go 'Round In Circles" while they took a smoke break. I suppose some of the music critics were thrilled when Mick straddled an inflatable plastic phallus.
I was at that show. Unfortunately, this was the high point of it. And - as usual - the sound guy doesn't have a clue. He must have been a keyboard player....
@Sunflower0122Z - Yes, that's Billy Preston alright. He did two songs of his own on this tour.
("Will It Go 'Round in Circles" & "Nothing From Nothing") In Philadelphia they opened with this song. It was so loud that when Keith hit those first few notes, it nearly knocked you over. Great show, great memories.
It get's even better!!! OMG, my brother and I were HERE, two high school kids who were given tickets by a friend who worked with my Mom! Hearing what was my favorite song at the time LIVE!! Amazing memories.
go go.....keith!
