Since my last comment was deleted I'll say it again. This. Is. A. Scam. This does not work. The only thing that you should pick up on from this and the bottled water scam is to not store water in plastics, stick it in stainless steel, this will not leach int othe water. And don't buy bottled water. With fluoride being put in our water we are having our health put at risk. But please note that drinking alkaline water will not affect the pH of anything in your blood besides your urine.

@alwilliscool - I'm sorry but it's not a scam. I know someone- very brilliant person, has had a book published, among other things that make her a very trustworthy person. After drinking ionized, alkaline water, she was able to reverse many health problems. I trust her opinion and story so much that my family is now giving it a shot.

What about bacteria/parasites and chemical redidues? It's great the Tyent separates the tap water into an acidic and alkaline stream, but what about the basic stuff like what I stated above? Does it filter all that stuff out before it makes the water alkaline?

Yes it does. There are two different large filters that filter out relatively large suspended matter like rust and dregs, residual chlorine in water, volatile organic compounds, etc.

You see all those points are true if distilled water is consumed by itself..it's only a base for organic lemon juice fresh of the tree.. you see my friend acidic lemon juice counteracts all those points you made and is an alkaline powerhouse when it chemically interacts with bile. Hence neutralizing all free radicals..

My props for a great education. But distilled water with lemon still has large water molecules that wont immediately penetrate cell membranes (like the hexagonal from the tyent) and doesn't have dissolved oxygen .......the lemon is great and i do it too but it doesn't hold a candle to ionized alkaline water. Antioxidants have an EXTRA electron that they are able to donate to the free radical, therefore, they are able to stay stable themselves while still being able to neutralize the free radicals.

By the way the Ac in Nancy's credentials stands for Acupunture. Not really that qualified to talk about body chemistry methinks. Also I don't quite get how alkaline water is going to help you when as soon as it enters the blood stream the pH is held strictly within the lmit of 7.3-7.4 which is pretty well neutral.

I've tried looking for the science that supports this but time and time again all I find is things like:

Hey Rico, would it be an accurate way to measuring how affective this system is if you urinate on PH stripes, when drinking regular water (for say 2 weeks) then drinking ionized water for the same amount of time. Obviously keeping you diet the same-ish. I know urine is slightly more acidic then blood, but this should give you a rough indication ... right? Did you do something similar before you bought into the whole ionized water stuff?

I agree. I hate bottled water, it tastes like shit, especially when it gets hot, and that's when the plastic starts leaching toxins into the water. Also, I did some research and the ideal pH level for blood is 7.4 which is alkaline, but not too alkaline which can be just as dangerous as being too acidic. So, thank you very much for all of the info you provide us, because I know you are really researching this as well and not just pulling random facts out of your ass.
