MetalGear 3 is one of the best game I've ever played and to this day I can't seem to find any games with such an epic story line that pulls you in. One mans struggle to do good, but in the end hes pulled into a World that seeks to control ever aspect of the human life, hes the one person who can do something about it, and in the end his plan worked out. When I plaed mgs4 and seen Naked snake show up at the end, I was about to cry....lol silly eh.

Looks like he memorized where all the spetznaz were and from what place closest to the room you start the fight in are they visible. But anyway that looked impressive, I finished Snake Eater two times (almost every time I played I listened to the whole Snake Eater song in the intro, LOVE it), and now I think I'll get the Subsistence version, as I assume the better camera view gives a better playing experience, but maybe it's easier that way cause with the view it had you had to be more skilled

well mgs 3 snake eater is the original, subsistence has a different more free camera system, honestly i prefer snake eater because it "feels" more like mgs to me. but to each his own either way this is a Great game

Just get the original game It has everything

subsistence only has extra things like riding a skateboard or an extra novelty item which isnt really appropriate to the game. If you like to play mgs seriously get the original but if you fancy a joke now and then buy the subsistence version

Subsistance has LOADS of extra crap. There was an online mode but it was shut down a long time ago... But that's what mgs4 is for! There are minigames too. It's definately worth it so get it if you ever have the chance.

I don't know about this game but Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is a free roam but there is not much to do when you free roam so it is just better to do the missions. This one looks like it's choose a level and then play.

I really wouldn't classify it as a "free-roamer" like the Sly games. It's a mostly linear game. Yea there are a few minor detours you can take and you can take your time exploring the areas, but in the end there's still only one straight path to the end of the game.
