As much as I love the original voice cast, DA:O's dialog system would demand full audible dialog. I would say a better route to go would be to recast with volunteers from the Internet.
I DL'ed this off Nexus and must say, the artists who made this did a marvelous job. I have just gotten out of the dungeon, so far and it's EXACTLY like the game I remember.
@MasaruKato82 It's Place Holder, we put those in for the installer to later change them. We've since realised it was kinda pointless, and they won't be in dialogues from now on, I don't think =P
Baldur's Gate 2 did not make audio for every piece of dialogue. That's exactly how it is when you play the original game, a person will say only the first few sentences of dialogue, and the rest is just text. I agree though, I would like to see and hear all the dialogue. Watching those NPCs talk was AWESOME and it's too bad they won't always seem so life-like when it's just silence. Other than that, this game looks incredible. That seriously looks like Imoen.
@cyraxsektor The downside to voicing all dialogue in a game as huge as BG2 is one of the major plahues of those modern CRPGs like ME and DAO: very limited lines of dialogue and fewer NPCs. Ultimately it's a choice between satisfying gamers who don't mind going through lines of dialogue and game lore and find it enjoyable on top, and gamers who'd rather a few lines of talkie talkie to point them to who do they kill next. I guess the second ones win.
Please make the whole thing with voices, if someone doesn't want voices just let them disable them in the voices in the options :). Dragon Age felt so awkward when the main character didn't speak at all, and they are actually fixing it in DA2. This is looking great so far though, keep it up guys!
@Dorifto007 For that you'd need the original voice actors, a lot of money and a lot of energy. A mod doesn't have that, besides, the whole point of any good RPG is to leave your main character as a blank slate for you to work on. If you give a main character a voice in an RPG s/he loses his/her individuality and you may as well be dragged along by a rope, THIS IS YOUR CHARACTER, WE'VE MADE IT AND NOW YOU GET TO MOVE IT. That's a dickmove.
I saw someone with a Baldur's Gate 2 logo in his signature on some forum, clicked it, and I was stunned! It actually looks like Baldur's Gate too! Keep up the great work.

I am a little sad that one can only have 4 companions. Even in the original bg2 it took 10 minutes of debate with myself when looking at a new npc.

28 Old and NOW i was crying when i saw Jahira and Imoen speak like that.
Imagination comes true and hit critical.

This may be a stupid question, still I'm confused: what does PH: stand for and why is it in front of every single dialogue line?

Oh, I see. Thanks.
Yeah, I believe they're kinda pointless as well, if the dialogue is handled the Dragon Age way.

Kinda wish they kept the iconic irenicus' dungeon music but other than that, tis great. Love how jahira looks :)

LMAO as soon as I heard the Dryads' voices coming out of the stony glaring Lady of the Forest model.

@avend666 I see your point. Compared to those 2 new games, BG really has a massive amount of dialogue.
