I think its good that England gets international talent and it shows that players are picked for skill rather than being discriminated against.

This young lad has an amazing talent.He is technicall quite tight for a young lad, but I am not going to say that he is going to play for England, yet. Anyone can play all the shot in the book but knowing to score runs is completely different set of skill. You can have great technique but no heart to play test cricket like Ramprakash, HIck or you might not have great technique but to have a great heart like Cook, Nasser Hussian etc. So good luck to young Charlie. you can teach technique....which someone has done a great job of....

but you cant teach ball watching like that! as far as i can see his eyes are absolutely glued to the ball, before, during, after the shot. watch the best of ball/bat sport athletes and its their ability to glue their eyes on the ball so sharply and for so long that sets them apart, which i think is a god given talent... watch how hard federer watches the ball on to the racket and you will see what i mean. go get em charlie!

For all of you who have made derogatory comments , may I point out that Charlie has been playing cricket with his big brothers (who are equally as talented) since he was old enough to hold the bat by himself,There is no parental pressure nor will there be .

He is absolutely not German , Aussie or Indian but proudly ENGLISH ! Charlie is just a little boy who loves to play cricket and has a great talent for it . Good one Charlie - I am very proud of you xxx
