Always found it ]] strange ]] that songs like teddy bear , hound dog , all shook up , blue suede shoes etc , are universally known ,, yet songs like this song , trying toget to you , playing for keeps , any way you want me etc , are very little known out side of the fan base !!!! I know which ones i prefer !!!!
If I haven´t told you before Jackie, you´re my very best source of Elvis great music and I´m so grateful for all your uploads which I keep on my playlists (some 250).
I can always trust on you, great sound quality and also the very best and most unusual pics and footages which I play as often as I can. Thank you dear!
I'm a brand new Elvis fan at 60......discovered what he truly was via YouTube. Your movies are the best ones out there thx for giving me and others the ability to experience him frm his very beginings. I have a new and very deep regard for him which I shall treasure through out my life. I'm exposing my grand-children to Elvis so that his legacy continnually grows.
Thank you for taking the time to create all your awesome movies. Every one of them is deeply appreciated.
Arthur Crudup (crew'-duhp) whom I played drums with + took very nice portraits of has NOT been inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame under 'Influences', yet MANY he influenced have! "The colored folks been (performing) it for more years than I know," Elvis told reporters in 1956. "I got it from them ... in Tupelo, I used to hear old Arthur Crudup bang his box the way I do now, and I said if I ever got to the place where I could feel all old Arthur felt, I'd be a music man like nobody ever saw'"
Like millions of Elvis fans I make up my own CD's etc and I find room for this song as much as possible. I rate this in the top 20 of his lifetime recordings, and wish it would appear more on the compilation albums..
Yea....this is from the time when El was baaaad. Incredible and phenomal vocal and backing . Terrific song! It just CAN'T be better musically, can't be beat, in any musical genre, in any time IMHO. Thanks Jackie
Written by Arthur Crudup. Elvis recorded it at RCAs New York City studios on January 30, 1956. It is available on Elvis, Reconsider Baby, Elvis 56, and The King of Rock n Roll-The Complete 50s Masters, which is where this version is from.
This fantastic Blues is also on EPA993 on the RCA Red Label. This is either Gold or Platinum. This has also Old Shep, Ready Teddy and Any Place is Paradise. This EP was in the shadows compared with EPA 992 vol. 1 and Strictly Elvis EP came out in December '56.
This is one of my most favorite Elvis songs. There's no possible way that anyone could sing this song as well or better than Elvis did. Almost every song that Elvis recorded is a song that he could sing better than anyone. There'll never be another Elvis. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.

@Zecalran I don't know about that. Think it was several factors that made El soften up. Anyway, administr...can f**k themselves AND they do!
