@DupczacyBawol Thanks, I make it, but nobody hear ot. Look on my Chanel for "The Cat On Her Lap", "Crying Earth" "The Tears Of a Nation" "The pictures of Melancholic"ory my first Degu video. It is a good music but it is difficult to be popular with own electronic music.
@grolum You have propably right my friend. I make my own music since 15 Years :D.
Here on YT You will find not much of them (videos: "Last Night", "My Degus", "Picture of Melancholy", "Tears of a nation", "Cha Cha banana"), but nobody here is watching it. No chance on YouTube for own music :/. Cheers :)
@chrisbern75 Don't let that stop you. I am a keyboard player that put some tunes up on myspace - my music is a cross between electronica (Jarre) and classical realtime playing (Wakeman). I recorded 2 albums in a weekend in December 2008, without preparation, sequencing or pre-thoughtout ideas, and therefore there are a few mistakes in timing, bum notes etc. But I think it is a great hobby to have. Keep up!
@grolum And of cours my electronicas suite in two video parts "Crying Earth" composed als Tribute to 30 aniversary Oxygene :). Great music, video with message and ... nobody (almost) is watching it :D
@ProbTron Thank You :). Do You mean the strings by me are not Eminent or in original? Anyway I used no Eminent strings. I made this strings on synth (PWM)
Vermutlich hast Du also Recht.
I think this was written to act as an introduction to Jarre's shows in China. In the "documentary" video Jarre slowly walks out on stage during the final moments of the track. I guess he wanted something simple that fitted with the theme of the concert (which was mostly based around Magnetic Fields album that was released the same year). Still if you search Youtube you can find he also played MF1 at at least one of the concerts as well, although it (sadly) does not appear on the album.
I can totally tell it's yours because the second snare hit has'nt enough slapback echo and is a little dry on the reverb on it. What keys are you using?
All my Simmons sounds I createt with virtual analog synthesizer Subtractor in Reason. For this "slapback echo" I had no idea, how could I make it.Maybe with a bit of delay?...
It's not an echo, neither the reverb. It's just that the human drummer, is playing that snare bit twice almost simultaneously. Sometime with two stick, sometime with one. If it's played using a single hand it's called tremolo or something. Listen closely to the original, and I'm sure you'll notice that.
Gegen das Original kommt keiner an !!!

Was hast Du eigentich als Drum verwendet?
Klingt nach handgespielt, das gefällt mir.

What is the tile of this song? I know there is also a faster version...

That's right. Overture (this is the title here) is a "slow motion" version of Magnetic Fields 1 :)

very good mate but you should still use a vocoder and get in "5", "4", 6...."
NADNERBNAC 3 years ago
Today I made this "5", "4", 6...." and "slapback echo" on snare to. You can hear it - see this blue link in the Song Info (up-right-side).
PS. Their is no vocoder. It's normal male voice with distortion or overdrive.
