Woody's most natural and frightening role ever. Brilliant film, stellar cast and yes, those are ACTUAL convicts. Such an intense social satire/examination this film was that most critics just couldn't handle it at the time.

Robert Downey Jr. as Wayne Gale is amazing. He makes something that was as shitty & messy as a pub toilet on a Saturday night, enjoyable and not to mention bearable as soon as he enters the frame. Downey Jr. and Tom Sizemore are the only saving graces of the film. A crappy movie with some good performances. How paradoxical!.....Does something like that exist?...Hell Oliver Stone's a genius!
