shes so good i cant believe she fell i could tell from her release move from low to high bar it would be a fall:( . i feel bad for her. shes amazing. she rushed. if she would have slown it down a bit. she rushed. good job otherwise, goiod luck mattie. u will go far
(CONTINUATION)Well, it doesn't seem like what I'm saying is going to happen, based on her status right now, but this girl, has a lot of talent. One day, there will be an event, and she's going to be in it, and she's going to surprise us all. and I do believe that day will come. Just wait. Mattie's year will happen.
Even though she fell, I saw a lot of potential in that routine. I know there's also a lot of flaws, but I garantee you people. Give her a couple more years, and youll see in the Olympic Trials, a new, confident, fearless, much improved, flawless, and magnificent Mattie Larson. Who knows, she might be up for an all-around in the next World Championships.
After her fall, her routine went downhill, and it is disappointing because she is such a talented gymnast. You can tell she wasn't concentrated on her routine as much from her flexed toes, low releases, and her missed 90 degree handstands. However, I hope that they still give Mattie another chance, because she is such a wonderfully talented girl.
Awwh, too bad about her Ricna! But GREAT save on her bail, WOW! She really seemed to be having an off day today, which is too bad, 'cause when she's on, she's amazing.
Was that double back intentional, or did she bail out of a full-in? What was her planned dismount?
I don't think it was supposed to be a double back. She was competing a Fontaine dismount (back tuck half into front tuck) last year. She probably didn't have enough energy to make it at the end of the routine after having several mistakes.

That was amazing, how well she fixed that mistake on the transition to the high bar. Not many can do that.

Despite the fall, it's nice to see a gymnast performing a Ricna. I don't remember any gymnasts competing it since Khorkina.

The amazing thing about Mattie is that she learns from her mistakes. So you know she's only going to get better because of this.

She is training a 1/2 in 1/2 out dismount...not sure if it was intended here.

i don't think it was because at the other meet in japan she didn't fall or anything and she still went for just a double tuck.

I believe a full-in was intended, but I'm just as shock as you seeing a double back at this level of competition.

GREAT save on that bail. I'm really sorry to see her not have such a great meet. I have high hopes for her in the future though. She's amazing.
