as bonkers as it may sound, this episode actually got something scientific right. coal has the same geological ingredients in it to make diamonds. with the right combination of heat and pressure you can turn them into diamonds...though it takes a while. who says cartoons cant teach you anything.
@gunnerthedenmark Definitely agree with you on this one, while the kilt made for a good running gag it doesn't really compare to Don Rosa's version of his life.
@IvoryJade93 yea, don rosa made a superb story, whit all the small details he makes, and the way he writes it and make the story, and really , he did a brilliant work on it,
The boys' father wasn't ever established but Webbie is actually Mrs. Beakly's granddaughter and only calls Scrooge her uncle out of affection for him. That and Scrooge insisted on it.
@cameljoe04 Huey, Dewey, and Louie are Donald's nephews and Scrooge's great-nephews. Their mother is Donald's sister, Della, and their father was never named. Early on, it was said they sent him to the hospital after putting firecrackers under his chair and so had to go live with Donald temporarily. After a while, their parents were never mentioned again, and the boys lived with Donald permanently, except for when he was in the Navy and Uncle Scrooge took them in.
The story is wrong. According to the comics he got an shoe polisher in birthday present

What's the music that plays in the background when he's talking to his parents (after bringing the dime home)?

Seriously, I learned all I needed to know about personal financial management (and rich people) from Scrooge McDuck.

well I"m glad he realizes that family and loved ones are what are important. Not that money in the bin. Money can be replaced. But loved ones? No.

17:23 - Oh please! Bagpipes as weapons?
19:57 - Angry for your kilt?

If Scrooge told Magica this story, it might inspire her to change so she could become rich like him.

@c0mf0rta61ynum6 The more wealth Scrooge accumulates, the more lucky his dime becomes. That's why Magica wants it so badly.
