To settle all these arguments, Scott is still listed as a DE on teh Raiders official site. And as the preseason went on, he saw more and more action at DE. Scott is gonna move between DE and WLB, depending on the situation. My guess is, in a 4-3 allignment, in a run situation Houston will play LDE with Scott playing WLB. In a pass situation, Scott will shift to LDE as a rusher with Howard or Goethel moving to WLB. Scott will be standing and have his hand on the dirt depending on the situation.

they didnt bench howard for scott scott played sam and we never had a sam lb howard was hurt in week nine and back by week 11 he was benched for two games for some other reason butt not for scott, scott is a sam lb guys and howard is the will and please believe that the raiders will play some 34 this year guys

@RaiderRaph Guy I am 100% certain that Trevor Scott is the starting WLB. No doubt in my mind. Cable has said this, go to espn.com and search Thomas Howard in the AFC West blog. It says that he is benched in favor of Trevor Scott. Cable has confirmed this. Kamerion Wimbley is starting at SLB. @RaiderRaph And if Trevor Scott is playing SAM what was Kamerion Wimbley brought in for? Did we trade a third round pick for him to sit the bench? Cable has said in interviews that are on the Raiders official website that says Scott is the Will, Wimbley is the SAM, and Howard is second string. Howard will still see a lot of playing time, but Cable said that Scott and Wimbley will be playing OLB because the team has to get better at defending the run. Howard is terrible against the run.

i went to high school with Lamarr my freshman year. no clue why he stayed in colorado springs for football, but look, the pastors son made it.(his father or mother works for the church been too long to remember). thats some hard work. this fool was TRUCKIN people at playin fullback in high school. Texas defense players struggle and under achieve in the NFL. Derrick Johsnon, Michael Huff. I hope Lamarr Houston makes an immediate impact as a rookie. Playing next to Richard Seymour and Tommy Kelly should help him out.

Actually, he is from The Bay and loves Oakland Ca. He lived 20 minutes from Oakland. He is very happy to be a Raider and the Raiders are going to kick a lot of ass this year after recieving an A+, 2010 draft... awarded by NFL network. A lot of teams are done going into 2010 but it's not the Raiders this year... sorry. AFC West just got easier for the Raiders and everyone who is someone knows it.

If he seriously doesn't want to play for Oakland he can always hold out the entire season then re-enter the draft. Although that would probably really hurt him as a prospect, not to mention all the money he would lose. His best bet is to just play out his contract and see who would want him in free agency.

Its going to be a fight for the starting job with Wimbley and Scott(dont get me wrong scott is a savage as well wimbley) but Thomas Howard will be starting.

Scott is playing WLB, Wimbley is playing SLB, and both are running with the first team offense in training camp. Howard was benched in favor of Scott last season as well. Howard has already been replaced. The majority of his work will come in nickle formations, and obvious passing downs.

So, my Raider fan buddy asked me about him. In my opinion, he has never really stood out or dominated enough for me to feel he was worth a 2nd round pick in this draft. He's a steady player, but he's not really quick enough for the 3 technique nor is he big enough to be a 1-technique in a 4 man front. Rumors are that you guys are going to a 3-4 based on the current picks. If that's the case, him as a 5 would be OK, but still, I would like to see more quickness.
