  • Don't mess with the bird

  • Union Pacific, we will deliver.

  • brrrrr... looks cold, nice catch though

  • i presume at least one of the engines was able to be relit to provide hep? if so, which one. if the engine was running, i guess it was not enough power to run the train alone?

  • they need to seriously thing about axing the California Zephyr. it couldnt be on time if it was the only train on the track for a thousand miles and traveling at 250mph. gets kinda old having a train 4-9hrs late EACH and EVERY day. people miss their connections and cause a headache with amtrak. i mean yesterday it was "on-time" at just 3hrs late. which is early for it lol

  • @howardkevinm Wow and I think 2 hours is bad!

  • NICE

  • wow, very fast

  • Um...I hear the flat spots in that last Superliner's wheels.

  • Deveria ter desses trens no Brasil principalmente de passageiros!

  • What do you mean by Hospital train?...Looks like the SW Chief or the CA. Zephyr.

  • I invite you to read the description.

  • And I hear the flat spots.

  • Um...Where did the flat spots come from?

  • I'd imagine the engineer dumped the air when the locomotives shut down, or the locomotives did it by themselves.

  • @AmtrakGuy10

Heavy brake usage. Whatever car with flatspots were involved in some high speed Emergency brake lock up episode. Slide locked up wheels along rails for about a half mile or so and you get a nicely grounded spot in the wheel which in turn produces the all so known 'thump thump thump thump' sound you hear in all things railroad car.
