To me speed and technique doesn't mean ANYTHING unless you can use both of them to be creative and write good music.  And you gotta make sure you can groove. I knew a kid who could shred on guitar, but he barely knew notes. He got lightning fast but it never mattered, because he couldn't write, didn't know his notes, and couldn't groove. Great track btw!
